1. INTRODUCTION For this specific course study I have chosen PPMP20008 course to ensure that I will meet all the requirements of project initiation and planning as well. I think that, this module will help me to accomplish my project requirements and objectives completely. After going through the module details I think that, I would be able to realize the benefits and challenges that a project team can face while conducting any project towards its success direction. I think that I would be able to realize the project needs and its application in the real field of application. The way through I have identified the sources and gathered information from the sources are elaborated in this paper. In addition to this, I have also analysed the situation and how it forced me to feel during that specific situation are demonstrated. The ways through which specific situation can be improved or the strategies those can be incorporated to recover the existing challenges are also elaborated in this paper. 2A. LESSONS LEARNT: FRAMEWORK 2.1 How I planned to gather and document lessons learnt When I planned to identify and collect lessons learnt Who I planned to involve in the process of gathering lessons How I planned to document lessons With successful completion of my course I have realized that, proper planning and accordingly gathering data is an important action that has to be taken under consideration while conducting any real world project. For gathering and analysing needful data I think that different sources are needed. However, gathering data from theses sources are not possible for all the participants. Therefore, in order to gather data I have planned to involve my project supervisor and my other co- members. The documents which will specifically help me to capture data and utilize those are lesson learned report. Whatever lesson I have learned should be used professionally. In order to use the documented data I think that the applicability should be reviewed. 2B. LESSONS LEARNT: FRAMEWORK (CON’T) 2.2 What actually happened? When I identified and collected lessons learnt Who I involved in the process of gathering lessons How I documented lessons At the end of course PPMP20008, I think that identification of collected data is much important. In addition to this, at the initiation phase of any other real world project data identification and It is not mandatory that information those are collected useful therefore, I would like to involve my project supervisor and team members while collecting data from the sources. I would like to store all captured data in a computer based lesson learned report. It will help me to store and incorporate each lesson into an electronic database for future dissemination and

What I learnt from reflecting on the situation The time when I was assigned to a professional project I realized that, in order to accomplish the project and meet desired objectives and aim at the end of the project timeline understanding of situation is much crucial. When I conducted a situational comparison between data collection plan and actual data collection approach that was followed I felt that, there is a vast difference. At that point of time I became extremely confused because I felt that I have not followed all guidelines and planning phases. After analysing the situation I have learnt that none of the project team member should give up and stop learning because each moment makes us learn something new. In order to avoid theses situational challenges guidance from the project supervisor and co-members are also required. 3.2 LESSON 1: IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY 1. Improvement strategy 2. How to measure if the strategy works 3. Why the strategy is achievable 4. Relevance of strategy to address the lesson 5. When the strategy will be implemented I think that, in order to overcome the situational challenges continuous improvement is much required. In fact I think that continuous learning is the Whether the strategy is working or not can be measured with the help of self evaluation. In other words, internal analysis is the best weapon to measure the I think that, this specific strategy is easy to achieve as no additional capital investment will be required for this. I have realized this specific strategy is relevant to lesson learnt 1 because it helps to address the lessons those have been collected. For implementing and tracking the project progress use of MS project is important though I did not have enough knowledge. This situation makes me extremely frustrated because I do not have enough time so that I could learn the details application of the MS project. From this situation I have realized that, if time is found to be limited then also the basic of MS project needs to be learned accordingly. 4.2 LESSON 2: IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY 1. When the strategy will be implemented The best possible way that helps to improve this situation is usage of SWOT analysis. The SWOT analysis will help me to identify the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as well. Whether the strategy is working or not is measured through performance measurements matrix. It will help me to improve myself. This particular strategy is achievable as no extra cost and resources are needed to accomplish this evaluation. I would know that, this particular strategy is working because I can minimize each challenge those I was facing at the project development phase. After gathering and applying all data from resources I thought while using those data in the project planning phase I felt difficulties additionally some of my team members were not supportive enough. I felt very angry and frustrated at that situation because without team support implementation of a project successfully is not an easy job. During this situation I felt that, whatever we have learnt are no easy to apply in the real field scenario. 5.2 LESSON 3: IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY 1. Improvement strategy 2. How to measure if the strategy works 3. Why the strategy is achievable 4. Relevance of strategy to address the lesson 5. When the strategy will be implemented The improvement strategy that must be involved to this situation is open communication. I have realized that open communication resolve the team conflicts. Timely situation analysis is the best suited way which helps to measure the strategies. This strategy is also achievable because it also does not require any additional cost. The strategy is relevant to lesson 1 as it will help to mitigate the difficult conflict situations. This specific strategy is required at the project development period. It also requires dissemination as it includes work process revision and training. 6. CONCLUSION From the entire discussion it can be concluded that, as soon as the project will be defined the additional requirements for the project should be addressed also. Identification of resources, time and cost are much crucial for the project success. I have realized data collection, analysis and their application are most important parts for successful implementation of the projects. Each situation should be analysed in the course session of PPMP20008 to mitigate the possible challenges that may interrupt the expected outcomes of the project. I think the improvement strategies will mitigate these difficult situations. Though, PPMP20008 course is not enough for project success therefore lesson learnt details are to be documented with the completion of each phase.
