INTRODUCTION
There are many multicultural crises which have gripped the world in a serious manner
which has led to damage of large scale which has been both mental and collateral based in
nature. Such crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the terrorism which has taken root all
over the world has given rise to nasty stereotypes such as islamophobia along with loss of human
lives whose cause is quite complex and rooted in both religion and psychology. This report will
highlight the root cause of terrorism in this world along with the various multicultural
worldviews which have formed around this issue as a result and will also highlight the way in
which such issues can be solved or their severity can be toned down using social service and
developing a multicultural worldview (Garrett, 2018).
MAIN BODY
Terrorism is a major issue which has been plaguing countries all over the globe and one
of the most major examples of this issue rearing its ugly head is in Jammu and Kashmir region in
India which has been a hotspot for worldwide terroristic activities for multiple decades. One of
the major reasons behind the serious conflict that this region endures is because of two countries
butting their heads over the complete ownership of the region, one being Pakistan and the other
being India with the latter accusing the former of sponsoring state developed terrorism in the
region while the former denying claims and instigating the matter in a vicious cycle, where even
China looms in the fray as a notorious third party (Teater, 2019). My personal outlook on
terrorism stems from my upbringing, religion and geographical background which is from
Jammu and Kashmir and being a Muslim, I can relate to the struggle that Kashmiri’s go through
every day as the threat of police brutality and sudden internet clamps looms over our lives every
day. I personally think that in order to take action against the growing terrorism in the region and
to avoid deadly incidents like the Pulwama encounter from happening again, the government
must stop the citizens of the state as the breeding grounds for their thumping nationalistic agenda
which is something that the welfare state of Australia also suffers from as the Australian
government lectured the world about the country being a fortress but ended up handling the
pandemic is a major way.

Terrorism is a major multicultural world crisis as unlike mass media would like you to
believe, the origin of all crimes which are terroristic in nature is not Islamic in nature and the
mass hysteria that has been built around Muslim people globally is also a major bi-product of
terrorism which needs to be addressed immediately as even in India, the hate crimes committed
against Muslims by supremacist groups and China’s torture of Uyghur Muslims has been pushed
under the drag by global media. I also think that in order to solve and partake in the solution
against such multicultural world crisis such as terrorism, social work practices have a very
important role to play as terrorism and other global problems such as it have huge mental health
consequences which barely get mainstream traction. I would like to become a multicultural
social worker so that I can learn and relate to the struggles of people belonging to different
backgrounds, races and orientations and provide them much needed aid and counselling which
terrorism leaves in its wake. My personal struggle with seeing terroristic activities belonging to a
region frequently rocked by these activities will help to empathize with the people who are
victims in such attacks and I can even successfully console people and help them deal with grief
while keeping their personal values and beliefs intact. My view regarding this multicultural
world crisis of terrorism especially in South Asia is built upon the post-colonial school of
thought which preaches the liberation of all cultures and decolonization as advent of religions
encroaching and politicians running religions propagandas are major drivers of terrorism which
must be addressed (Sue, Rasheed and Rasheed, 2015).
CONCLUSION
The above report went into detail regarding the major multicultural world crises which is
affecting countries all over the world with special focus laid on terrorism in south Asian regions
such as Jammu and Kashmir which has been a major terroristic hotspot in the global landscape.
The report involved a critical reflection about the ways in which terrorism has a major effect on
people’s mental well-being along with the reasons that social work is needed to support and aid
people who are suffering from this crisis with a multicultural point of view. It was concluded
from this report that being multicultural and developing a broad worldview is needed to solve
complex crisis.
