Tesla is an American manufacturing company that is known for manufacturing few of the
best electric vehicles, pickup trucks and provides clean and green energy to the world. The
company was established in 2008 at Palo Alto, California. The company is known for having its
specialty in the manufacturing and development of electric vehicles of different kind, battery
energy storage for home and as well as for office, it has also exceled its manufacturing unit in
developing few of the latest solar energy and solar roofs. The company is known for having
stock price of $US 745.36 and generates more than 30.06 billion US dollars revenue (Roper and
Users’Manual, 2020).
Talking about the high market valuation it has been proved from the above case studies
and articles that Tesla has left behind GM in terms of revenue and market shares earned over the
years. But however to most of the scholars and business analysts it is seen as the company is
charging extreme high price for its products offered in the market. Coming to the point of self-
perception, Yes I will definitely invest in a company like Tesla. I will not deny the fact that the
products offered by the company are of high valuation in the market when compared with its
market competitors like GM and Ford. Taking care of the electric market and green technologies
used in the manufacturing of vehicles under Tesla, it can be said that yes it is feasible for the
company to charge high price as because it is new in the market and will be sustainable for the
long term in the next future. Talking about the high price of the cars it can be said that the Tesla
had recreated the history of developing few of the best cars available in the world in terms of
safety and security. The high quality production car which is Tesla’s P85D that is the older
version of Model S was called as the “The best Performing Car of the year” according to the
consumer reports which they have ever tested.
