 It has close to seventy three
manufacturing units and 45000
employees.
 The company has activities over 120
countries and earns a product portfolio
of close to 1000 molecules.
 As per the figures of 2015, the revenue
generated by the company was $19.7
billion.

CEOs of Teva Pharmaceuticals
The company had three CEOs in a matter of two years.
 Shlomo Yanai, a high ranking army officer, who resigned
after realization that the company’s global sales target of
US$ 33 bn cannot be achieved by 2015.
 Jeremy Levin, brought into the company after that for
bringing about a change in the strategy but stepped down
after a tumultous phase in the company.
 Eriz Vigodman was the third CEO who introduced newer
global strategy focused on rationalization, organic growth
and cost savings.

Strategy Followed by Shlomo Yanai
 Shlomo Yanai,a higher ranking member of the
defense forces of Israel, was appointed the
CEO of Teva in the year 2007.
 He put forward a statement that Teva had the
aim of achieving a sales revenue of $33 billion
by the end of 2015
 Under him Teva pharmaceuticals also
witnessed a doubling of the sales revenue from
$8 billion to $ 16 billion by the year 2010
 He followed the dual approach related to the
aggressive acquisition of the generic
competitor companies and thereby ensure the
diversification of the company into over the
counter (OCT) medicines and also looking
forward for the branded pharmaceuticals for
replacing the aging non generic drug
Copaxane.
 Teva Pharmaceuticals showed aggressive
growth by acquiring Barr in USA , Tayo and
Taisho in Japan and Ratiopharm in Europe.
Besides the company also declared of an OTC
joint venture with the Proctar & Gamble
