1INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS
Part 1: Thread
It has been said in various criticisms that the workplace administrations in the recent
times need to provide their employees with some sort of facilities that would be helpful for them
to live their lives properly. In order to increase the productivity in the organizations, the activities
of the political unions have decreased a lot compared to the previous times (Gausepohl, 2016).
These unions used to raise their voices to protest against the payment inequality and other similar
issues where employees were deprived of their rights. After the decrease of these facilities,
employees are being exposed to heavy workload and less pay than they deserve. Many
employees are also being harassed through discriminatory acts.
In this context, it has become quite essential for the government agencies and
organizational managers to provide some means of relief to all this discrimination in the
workplaces (DelCampo, Haggerty & Knippel, 2017). The states should make stricter anti-
discrimination laws that will help the employees to get their rights. The discriminatory acts are
covered through race, disability, racism and gender (Gausepohl, 2016). The reforms in these
legal systems should be administered by countries so fair pay can be introduced. Better
healthcare benefits should be provided to elder employees (Coulter & Faulkner, 2014).
Maternal advantages and benefits should also be provided to the women in all the
organizations (Nickels, 2019). This will look after the employee well being in a better way. Here
equal pay signifies the fact that similar salary and incentives should be paid to all employees in
the organization if they share similar designations.
The context of the equal pay and advantages will be quite important when it is explained
through the Biblical perspectives. The condition of the equal pay has been described in the

2INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS
Biblical verses have been described so many times in several Biblical verses over the times both
in Old and New Testament (Sawayer, 2017).
“Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with
me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in
the book of life.” (Philippians 4:3)
13 And the landowner replied to one of them, “Friend, I am not treating you unfairly. Didn’t
you agree with me to work for the standard wage? 14 Take what is yours and go. I want to give
this last man the same as I gave to you. 15 Am I not permitted to do what I want with what
belongs to me? Or are you envious because I am generous? 16 So the last will be first, and the
first will be last.”
The above mentioned quotations are from Biblical Scripture and it justifies the action that
every person should be treated in the similar manner. There should be no distinctions between
men and women (Nickels, 2019). Everyone in the organization should be included in the equal
pay structure. Otherwise, it will really damage the overall reputation of the concerned
organizations. The second Biblical quotation justifies the importance of similar wage.
