every form of a business structure may have its own sets of
advantages and disadvantages associated with it.
•The instant presentation briefly shows some key entities with a
brief discussion on the type of different organisational structure as
well.

•Public sector organisation: Government has major stake in the
business and thus owns and controls the affairs of the
organisation. Generally, the essential commodities, national
security services, healthcare services and critical business
operations are generally owned and controlled by the

Pensions etc (The Guardian, 2020).

•Private sector organisation: Shareholders are the primary
owner groups and management is appointed by the
shareholders. In this case, the stockholders are the primary
owners and management may run the show and act in their
fiduciary capabilities, as the agents of the owner groups.

•Mutual sector organisation: Two or more stakeholders form the
owner groups of the business where the functioning and
operation are governed by the principle of mutuality and private
law. In UK, the partnership businesses are generally
incorporated as per mutual faith and belief and private law.

established to attain social goals and operate for the betterment
of the society and social welfare. Generally, NGOs (non-

may fall under this category.

the Blind, The British Red Cross Society etc (Rogers, 2020).

•Centralised organisational structure provides lesser autonomy
than a decentralised one where the decision-making bottleneck
does not arise due to centralised one-way communication flowing
directly from Board that happens in a centralised scenario.
•On the other hand, bureaucratic structure focusses on the
workforce specialisation and divisional structure, denotes
departmentalisation of business operations based on products,
services, units, departments, projects, locations or branches
