TEACHING2 Introduction Best practices are the intrinsic part of a curriculum which represents the relevance and connection presented in the field of educational research. They include problem-solving and development skills by active learning strategies and integration techniques. The concepts of bestpractices are applicable for all levels of the grade for providing the building blocks for instruction (Nilson, 2016). Oneof the notable benefits of the best practices in the field of teaching is that it motivates, encourages and engages students to build, learn and achieve. This paper highlights some of the best practices of teaching by the instructors for the development and promotion of an effective and productive learning environment for the learners. Discussion Some of the notable best practices of teaching include a balanced curriculum, differentiatinginstructions, provisionofactivelearningopportunities, effective communication practices and more. The practice of effective teaching enables the students to develop a love for gaining and learning new knowledge and skills, improve their attitude towards the matter of the subject, being eager and passionate about the subject being taught. According to researchers, effective teaching is much more than an intuitive procedure (The Guardian, 2017). This is because the concept of effective and good practices in teaching takes rigorous time and effort by the instructor to act on those decisions and actions. In the context of this topic, some of the best practices in the context of teaching ELLS or English language learners and the students of the general classes are the following. Establishing a positive and effective environment for the reading, learning and writing the English language- It is extremely essential for the instructors and the teachers to create a safe
TEACHING3 and a positive environment, an atmosphere of positive regard, respect and safety for all. The learners should experience the feeling that they are an essential part of a community where they can support each other for developing their writing skills in the English language (Chen, 2015). The English literacy is celebrated and valued just as the efforts of the learners for developing as the member of the literature community. The teachers and the instructors must take some essential steps for establishing a sage atmosphere and the sense of community. These steps include an inviting classroom, respect among the learners, daily routines, and structures Organization for writing- it refers to the strategies and planning as well as the activities in the classroom that help the learners develops their reading and writing skills for different languages (Conner & Sliwka, 2014).In this context, often the instructors need to address assessments and standards keeping the need and the goals of the curriculum in mind. Some of the steps include organizing workshops, introduction for a meaningful approach to writing and more. Integrate the curriculum of teaching-It involves the student in the unit development procedure. Furthermore, it gives the opportunity to identify queries, form questions, research information, divide tasks and share the procedure of learning and the content. The notion of technology resources is also included in the day to day practice of the classroom. The concept of integrated curriculum empowers the learners to take up the ownership of the learning procedure. Besides, it supports the content and the ideas to engage the learners in active learning skills (Borich, 2016). This practice is one of the best practices since it encourages the learners to work collaboratively with their fellow learners’ for developing multilevel activities and challenges.

TEACHING4 Checking for understanding of the students- This is one of the deft skills which requires a strong knowledge of the students by the instructors together with the common rate of misconceptions. Providing effective feedback to the students and not on their work- One of the essential practices by the teachers include the habit of providing meaningful feedback to the students for improving the student and not to highlight the mistakes and make the learners feel bad about it. TEACHING5 Apart from all these practices one of the important practices that are used by the instructors for the purpose of teaching in today’s life includes active learning. Active learning is a procedure that engages students in hands-on activities rather than stagnant boring knowledge (Téllez & Manthey, 2015). This practice enables the learners to interact and effectively communicate with other fellow learners for constructing meaning from different ideas and concepts that are dependent on their background knowledge. This practice by the instructors is fun and personally engaging practice since it allows students to interact and explore their inner qualities and skills. Problem-solving, co-operative learning, and project- basedactivelearningstrategiesaresomeofthefactorsofthispractices. Figure: 1Source: (The Guardian, 2017) The above figure illustrates the six essential practices and elements used by the instructors and the teacher for effective teaching and learning among the learners.
TEACHING6 Conclusion Thus it can be concluded that the above practices are extremely important and essential for the students to develop their skills and succeed in their school life and educational career. The teaching practices adopted by the instructors need more revision in the light of the progressing world and updated technological improvements. These practices are extremely beneficial for the learners of both general classes and English language learners since it enhances the understanding by co-operative learning module, introduce the learning methods by tools of technology, develops and evaluates the pre-existing information and knowledge that learners already poses to succeed in their life. Hence the practices should be practiced more at its best by the instructors for the development of the students and learners.
