5. Methodology
The research method which is used in the paper is primary research where the data are
collected through survey method. Lists of 10 questions are prepared based on the selected topic
where the sample taken for this work is 6. After surveying the selected participants from the
university, they are provided online survey questions in Microsoft Forms. The selected data
analysis method is quantitative, where the data are analyzed in form of pie chart and graphs.
6. Discussion
From the analyzed data, it is discussed that the respondents are using the phone mostly
for login to the social media sites. Facebook is mostly used by the university students to use the
phone. As per most of the respondents, usage of digital media influences quality of sleep. The
findings of this study indicated that there are negative effects of digital media usage on the sleep
among the adults (Chassiakos et al. 2016). Therefore, in future the research work should be
based on digital media as means to cope with problems of sleeping causes due to usage of social
media.
