This presentation is based on Titan travel UK based company. This presentation is
going to show some factors that affects tourism behavior to the great extent.
Different push and pull factors attracts tourists towards a particular destination like
sports activities, social interaction.
Further it will also show some positive and negative factors that impacts on the
performance of travel and tourism company.

Tourists refers all those persons and individual who visit and travel a destination tourist place
for having fun and pleasure. A tourism behavior involve all those activities and ways of
behaving on the basis of their attitude during as well as after traveling It involves purchasing,
selecting, using of products and ideas which can satisfy their needs. There are mainly 2 types
of factors that can have impact on their activities and whole travel & tourism industry such
as:Pull factors and push factors.

Escape: The main factor that push tourist is escape from daily routine. People are now
becoming more engaged and busy in their professional life. Sometimes they feel internally
damaged and stressed so they go and visit tourists destination with the main aim of feeling
fresh and for pleasure.
Fulfilling prestige: Most of the people want to increase the social interaction and status so
they prefer to visit a particular destination. The main motive and purpose is to visit a
particular place as world's 7 wonders in order to impress friends and families.

Sport activities: The main pull factor that attract tourists towards them is sport activities.
Most of the people wants and have hobbies of doing some adventurous activities and sport
activities. They travel and go to destination tourists place for tracking, bungee jumping,
mountaineering, biking, river rafting etc.

Motivation can be defined as a reason that push an individual and for acting in a particular
way. An effective model of motivation is known as Maslow's hierarchy that can influence
the process of decision-process. With the help of Maslow's motivators model Titan Travel
company can easily analyses needs of customers and their employees.
Maslow's hierarchy of needs: Needs of employees and customers are being defined in a
pyramid according to this model. The lowest level are being made up of basis needs and
the most complex & higher needs are at the top of the pyramid. In the context of travel and
tourism industry it is important for the marketing manager to identify different types of
needs of their customers.

tourism from another country. For example, French tourists visit Argentina. The company

There are various positive and negative factors that can have impacts on the performance and
popularity of global destination. The main global & world top developed destinations include
France, USA, China, Italy etc. Some positive factors that can attract larger number of tourists
includes:
Positive factors
Climate: Climate is the main reason and factor which attracts many tourists but sometimes it
can have negative impacts. This sector is highly dependent on natural and climate heritage.
Rainy season and winter change the mood of tourists. Changes in climate can rise sea level
that can attract travellers as it develops natural attraction.
Culture: Culture is called an important positive factor that attract wider range of tourists

Terrorism: The main factor that can have negative impact on travel and tourism company is
terrorism. Example of terrorism is Erol Incedal Gun attacked in the streets of London in the
year of 2013. This attack and terrorism had a negative impact on local tourists as they
canceled their trip that also impacts on the profitability and sales of this industry.
Natural disaster: Natural disaster is other main negative factor that have the greater impact
on tourism industry. It includes flood, volcano, earthquakes etc. Example of natural disaster
is Tsunami on 26th December 2004 in the Indian ocean which destroyed Ao Nang which is in
Thailand. It is stated that majority of houses and attractive hotels collapsed that impacted on
this industry and tourists.
