Tourism industry can be defined as the set of industries that is engaged in giving the
infrastructure, products and services and make possible travelling for different purposes and
travelling to places of leisure and business interests. Presentation will highlight factors affecting
tourism behaviour. It will present model of motivation and there influence on consumer decision
making. There are many factors that impact on buying decision of consumers. All these
motivational factors will be highlighted in this presentation

decision. There are number of factors which affect the tourism behavior such as
Personal factor: Personal factor affect the tourism behavior. Before planning any tour with Titan
travel client must ensure some factor like the destination place, budget, package include etc.
Travelers are more concern about their health and before going to any tour they focus on the

Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a motivational theory in psychology comprising a five-tier model
of human needs, often depicted as hierarchical levels within a pyramid. Needs lower down in the
hierarchy must be satisfied before individuals can attend to needs higher up.
The two-factor theory states that there are certain factors in the workplace that cause job
satisfaction while a separate set of factors cause dissatisfaction, all of which act independently of

travel in the places which is safe.(Jenkins 2015). Any undesired changes such as high wind,
drought, flash flood earthquakes volcanic eruption, tsunamis and extreme climate can affect the
tourism of the area. For example during the summers the climate of India is very warm so the
people avoid travelling in India and prefer to travel to the other countries with cold climate.
Cultural importance- The people want to travel to the places which have some cultural
significance they want to visit the destination which consist of monument, castles, forts, caves,
antique paintings and utensils, clothes, weapons and ornaments.
Religious importance- The places which have religious importance are likely to gain more
tourists. The season is on peak at these places during a particular time period in a year. For
example: Kashi, Mecca and Bethlehem
Satisfaction with travel experience- the prior experience of the customer also built the destination
loyalty. If the prior experience of the traveller is good than the traveller will prefer to visit the

modes of transport such as air, water, road. Water as a mode of transport is rarely selected unless

accommodation facilities. The type of accommodation needed depend upon person to person.
