INTRODUCTIONManagement within an organisation is essentially required at every stage in order toattain organisational goals in an efficient and effective manner through planning, organising,staffing, directing as well as controlling all major organisational resources (Busco and Quattrone,2015).Main forces included under organisational resources are money, men, machines andmaterials. However, it the responsibility of is to ensure that daily functioning within anorganisation is done smoothly. This report is based on Hotel Marriott International which is aninternational American hospitality company. It manages and franchises broad portfolio of hotelsall around the world. It is was founded by J. Willard Marriott and Alice Marriott in 1972. Theoutcome of this report will be based on various management styles which are eventually requiredin order to significantly carry out business activities with proper efficiency. Moreover,advantages as well as disadvantages of theory Y will also be considered. Discussion relatingseveral leadership style is also identified in order to selected best out of them. Analyse of overallculture and change in working within hotel industry shall also be considered. MAIN BODY a)Manager is an individual who is in change of a particular group within an organisation.Moreover, he/she have a staff of people who usually reports. There are several functions whichare potentially performed by a manager within an organisation the most common of them arehiring, staffing, training new employees, dealing with performance problems and several othersuch factors. From marketing, to accounting, sales and all other groups, manager either lead ateam directly or aims to lead group of supervisors who lead the overall teams.
