INTRODUCTIONIn business world, manager is said to be a person who manages all the work and tries toattain specific goals and objectives of an organisation. On the other hand, a developing managerkeeps an eye on structuring distinctive strategies and other smart ways so that management of acompany can help it in running business in a smooth manner (Ahmad, Ry Nielsen and Synnott,2013). With the help of this, it can be said that enterprise whether it is small or big can give goodrivalry to its competitors. In modern era, high level of rivalry can be seen among organisations.Thus, this took companies to develop various strategies through which risks can be reduce andhelped them in grabbing position at international market. In order to understand the conceptionof developing manager assignment is being divided into four different tasks. Thomas Cook andVirgin Holidays are two travel and tour operators that has been taken under first and the fourthtask. Along with this, for third and the second task two firms which took under i.e. ClaytonCrown Hotel and Frankie & Benny's restaurant. Report will include management style,communication process and leadership characteristics. It will also show, organisational culturealong with alterations in it has also been discussed.TASK 11.1 Comparison of different management stylesManagement style can be known as different strategies in which managers try to makeplanning, prioritizing, organising and functions of an enterprise. Through this, it can be said thatcompany's goals and objectives can easily get hit right on time. Management styles can helpmanaging people to develop strategies through which they can assign tasks to subordinates ordevelop plans through which desired targets can get attain in much effective and appropriate way(Allen and et. al., 2012). As per the requirements which gets changes within organisation, it ismust for a developing manager to keep on using different management styles through which theycan gain many benefits. Thisstyle majorly beingutilised by manycompanies andmanagers in today'sbusiness world. Virgin Holiday'sowner and managermostly believes in thissort of style (Arends,2014). With the helpof this, they can easilydevelop morale ofstaff members throughasking them whatneeds to be done nextin order to enhancesales of company or togain competitiveadvantages.Thomas Cook do notmajorly take in use ofparticipative stylebecause they believethat manager knowwhat is good forcompany and foremployees. This canbe taken as a drawbackfor participativemanagement style.2
