INTRODUCTIONManagement is a process of planning, controlling, dealing things essential fordevelopment of organizational activities. An enterprise can successfully grow with betterleadership and management practices that will lead to execution of better planning. Thisassessment is focus on self-evaluation of own management skills and performances that hashelped a person to succeed in previous organization. “ The Milestone Hotel and Residences ” isone of the renewed hotel in London performing their business successfully (Beamish , 2013)..The have managed their activities properly by analyzing the macro and micro businessenvironment in effectual way. Hotel provides loth of opportunity for a manager to learn andenhance different skills. It is having one of the best management structure that has helpedorganization to tackle different types of situation that prevail in hotel business.TASK 11.1Management styles of senior managerDifferent types of manager in “ The Milestone Hotel and Residences ” adopt their own styleof management according to situation and working condition they are working in. If the employeesfail to fall in line, they face consequences. Employees are motivated mostly through fearof discipline. The company has specific, clear policies that employees must follow.Management isn’t interested in hearing feedback from employees.Consultative - This differs from the autocratic style in that management seeks employeefeedback before making decisions. This leads to a better relationship betweenmanagement and employees, meaning less turnover and greater employee loyalty.Management takes employee concerns about the workplace seriously.Persuasive - In this model, managers still retain control of making decisions. However,they make every attempt to help employees see why management’s decisions are the bestfor the company. This can create employee buy-in when management successfullyexplains their plans for the company. This is helpful when an independent expert comesin to analyze a company’s operations.1.2 Leadership characteristicsGood leadership characters of leaders help in smooth functioning of organization andprovide opportunity for growth . Some of the important characteristics of leaders in hotel are asfollows:
