MOTIVATION IN AUTOMOBILE SECTOR
INTRODUCTION
Leadership refers to the art a person possess to motivate group of people in order to achieve a
common goal (Al-Jedaia and Mehrez, 2020). There are several qualities a leaders posses in order
to became a good leader such as honesty, humanity, integrity as well as clear focus. Jaguar is a
British multinational company which manufactures car and merge with Land rover to form a new
company Jaguar land Rover in January 2013. This research proposal contains various leadership
styles which are good to be followed in jaguar Land Rover as they are very useful in motivation
of employees. This proposal also contains role of motivation in employees of Jaguar and the role
leadership styles play in order to motivate them.
Rationale of the research
This research has been conducted to identify the importance of motivation in any organisation
(Ranganathan and Shivaram, 2020). There are so many organisation in which leaders not follow
various leadership styles to exercise their duties in effective manner which results in demotivate
employees and inefficiency in operations of an organisation. Hence, this research is conducted to
identify the effects of these leadership styles in motivation of employees in an organisation.
LITERATURE REVIEW
The various leadership styles in Jaguar.
As per the view point of Becker, B., (2020) leadership is a continuous process and needs to be
improved with experience. They provide various leadership styles in order have good leadership
which are given below:
Democratic leadership: According to this leadership style a leaders should make decisions after
considering opinions of employees in an organisation. Although final decision is given by the
employees only. This is an effective leadership as it helps to get new and innovative ideas from
different minds which helps to bring motivation in an organisation. In case of Jaguar, the leaders
prefer to follow this leadership style and provide chance to their employees to give their opinions
in order to take effective decisions.

do”. According to this leadership style the employees needs to trust and can be empowered to
work according to them only (ASHENAFI, 2020). In case of Jaguar this leadership style will
help the leader to learn various new techniques of manufacturing in the organisation and helps to
bought efficiency of work.
Transformational Leadership: This leadership style works by always transforming and
improving the leadership in accordance with the convention of the company. In this leadership
style, leader push their employees to go beyond their comfort zone by increasing their targets
which they achieve in a week or in a month. In case of Jaguar they also use this technique in
order to enhance the productivity of employees.
Strategic Leadership: Strategic leadership refers to the leadership in which leader lead the
group of people with the help of a strategic plan. As per the author view this leadership is
commonly effective in every organisation (Bavik, 2020). In case of jaguar the leaders of the
company follow this leadership style in order to manage several difficult situation in an
organisation.

As per the view point of Mohammed, E., 2015, In order to achieve success in an
organisation, motivation plays a very important role. Motivated employees in an organisation
helps them in various ways which are given below:

ď‚· Motivation helps an employee to attach their goals with the goals and objectives of the
organisation (Rachmat, Brasit and Jusni, 2020).

sometimes led to introduction of innovation in an organisation.

complete the process of research. These research approaches are classified in two types that are
inductive approach as well as deductive approach (Cheema, Afsar and Javed, 2020). In this
research the researcher prefer to use deductive approach which helps them to collect the data and
interested in objective data and needs appropriate time.
Design
Research design refers to the process of designing the procedure of research structure in an
appropriate manner. For the purpose of this research the researcher prefer to use descriptive type
