Youngsters all over the world crave for fast food like bees to honey. In order to cater to
the needs of a its ever-growing customers, the braches of fast food chains like- Papa John's
Pizza, Dunkin' Donuts, Burger King, Dairy Queen, Domino's Pizza, Starbucks, Pizza Hut which
are popping up across the world.. Fast foods are considered to be the quickest solutions to the
hunger of school, college and office goers. The mouth watering looks, finger-licking tastes are
just a bonus to the customers. The attractive packaging, garnishing and tastes make the
customers forget the probable consequences of having fast foods.
Are fast foods doing good to our health? The increasing rates of obesity, depression,
digestive issues, heart disease, cancer all over the world has raised questions on the impacts on
fast foods on the health of the customers (One Green Planet, 2019). Several researches have been
conducted on how the fast food giants look after the part of health nutrient, hygiene while
preparing fast foods. A review by the studies on fast food and heart health found having fast food
more than once a week casts upon a negative impact on digestive systems (Food Revolution
Network, 2019). Experts argue that, fast foods are overloaded with Carbohydrate and lacks fiber.
Moreover, they consist of unhealthy fats. Researches have revealed that, after the consumption of
fast food when the digestive system of human body breaks down fat elements and nutrients in
fast food (Bahadoran, Mirmiran, & Azizi, 2015). This results into the release of carbs as glucose.
As a consequence of all these the sugar level in the blood increases. According to the reports
published by Food Revolution Network the added sugar in the fast food does not only indicate to
the gaining of extra calories by youngsters who are fond of fast foods, but also, enhance the
chances of diabetes as well as mental stress. A recent research has revealed that, diabetic patients

are more likely to suffer from depression. Hence Excessive consumption of fast food in turn
leads to depression or mental illness (Healthline, 2019).
American heart Association has already warned the young Americans about the heart
diseases causing due to the consumption of fast as well as junk foods twice a week. Moreover,
the digestive system of a common man can not break down unhealthy fats and that cast upon a
negative impact on the cardiovascular system of a person, leading to obesity, breathing problem,
high level of blood pressure and heart blockage. This again enhances the chances of stroke
(Forbes.com, 2019).
Are you worried about premature aging? Stop having fast food! This is how
dermatologists react while handling the cases of premature aging. The sugars, trans fats, and
starches found in fast food cause insulin levels to spike, triggering an inflammatory response in
the body. As a result, Glycation is speeding up the aging process of the youngsters who have fast
food frequently. Glycation is destroying anti-oxidants which are engaged in the natural process
of age fighting. This reflects in the increasing rates of skin damage and hair fall among young
people.
There are several fast foods which have preservatives added into it. This is done due to
keep the packaged food fresh for long. These preservatives are made of chemical which are not
beneficial for human body and excessive intake of fast foods with added preservatives may lead
to stomach ulcer, skin problems (Burgoine, et al., 2018).
According to the research conducted by Australian Cancer research Foundation, added
preservatives often contain chemicals which develop the chances of cancer in human body.
According to World Cancer Research Fund, the fat starches as well as hidden glucose in the fast
