Global event is a type of event which is being organized at the level of all over the globe. The
major reason for this is that this is being organized for the purpose of entertaining the people
coming to watch the event. Generally the event relates with the sports activity. In the present
case the government of country is trying to bid for the hosting of Olympic in the country. Thus,

INTRODUCTION
The global event is type of event which is being organized at the global level and
involves a huge investment. This is particularly organized in order to entertain people and is
generally related to organising some sports event (Flyvbjerg, Budzier and Lunn, 2020). In the
present study the government is trying to bid for hosting the Olympics which is a global event.
The organizing of the global event involves a lot of different things which the company or the
government is trying to organize. The major reason for this is that the main negative aspect or
issue of organizing the global event is the level of event. As the event is organized at world level
thus this involves much of the things to be considered.
For instance the cost involved in organising the event is very high and because of this the
government has to think in very effective and rationale manner. The major reason for this is that
when the government has to organize for the global event then people from all over the world
will come and government has to make arrangement for all these people. Thus, this requires a lot
of investment.
But on the other side the positive thing attached with the organizing of the global event
by the country is that this increases the popularity of the country. This is particularly because of
the reason that many of the people will come to the new place and this will also increase the
income of the country. Hence, the present report will analyse the different perspective relating to
organizing of the Olympics and the benefits and challenges of this. Further in the end some of
the recommendation will be provided for all the perspective discussed in order to either
maximise the benefit or minimise the challenges faced at time of organizing the event of
Olympics.

At time of organising any of the events the most important thing to be taken care is the
social perspective relating to the event. While organizing the event of Olympic the most
important thing first to be done is the analysis of the social aspect which might impact the

government and the government must bid for organizing the event. The major advantage of
hosting the event by the government is that this includes many different intangible benefits
relating to the social perspective that the people within the host country. The most important
benefit is that this event is being organized by the government for the purpose of entertainment
for the people of the country and for other country people as well.
This is particularly because of the reason that this increases the interest of people in the
event and because of this they come to see the event and this increases the income of the host
country. Further in addition to this another aspect of the social perspective is the regeneration of
opportunities. This is particularly because of the reason that when the event is hosted by the
government of the country then there are many different opportunities being developed for

Environmental
This is another important perspective to be undertaken and being analysed at the time of
organizing of the event like Olympics. This is particularly because of the reason that when the

and see the event it is not necessary that all the people keep the area of Olympic clean and tidy.

requires food to eat and other type of facilities. Thus, this has a positive impact over the
government hosting an event. For instance, if government of UK is bidding for hosting the event
then this will have a benefit to the overall economy of UK. The major reasons underlying this
fact is that when the government of the country host an event then it is open for each and every
all over the globe.
Thus, when a person comes from another country to see an event then this increases the
employment and growth of different sectors of UK. The first and foremost sector being affected
is the tourism sector. The major reason underlying this fact is that when the country hosts the
event then the most positive thing happening is the increase in tourism. This is particularly
because of the reason that many people travel from other countries and result in increase in
business in UK. In addition to this there are also short term effects on the hospitality sector of the
economy of UK. The major reason underlying this fact is that when the people travel from
another country just to watch the event then they will stay in the host country itself and this will
increase the hospitality business as well (Ribeiro, Correia and Biscaia, 2020).
This is majorly because of the reason that it is not necessary that the person is having free
accommodation in UK and for this they will rent a place to live. Thus, this will result in increase

in the revenue of the hospitality sector and in turn will result in the overall development of the
host country. Further in addition to this another major benefit of bidding for hosting the Olympic
event is that this will also increase the popularity of other destination as well. The major reason
for this is that when a person comes for the visiting the event then they will surely visit the other
places of attraction in UK or the place where the event is being hosted. The major reason for this
is that when the person comes for an event then they will stay in that country and this will attract
them towards the other destinations as well which are nearby (Scheu and Preuss, 2018).
Thus, this will assist in increasing and having a long term influence on the promotion of
local tourism destination as well. Thus, this will result in the development and increase in the
local business as well and will help the country in increasing the national income of the country
to a great extent. Further this will also increase the logistic business and the transportation
business as well. The major reason for this fact is that when the people come from the different
country and because of this the transpiration sector also increases and the revenue is generated
more. Thus, if the government of country will bid for organizing of the event of Olympics then
this will be beneficial for the country and the economy of the country as well.

there are many positive things as well. This is important for a country to bid for hosting an event
like Olympic is that this will have more of the positive impact as compared to the negative
aspect. the positive aspect includes the increase in goodwill, development of hospitality and
tourism sector and many others. But the negative aspects are also attached like increase in cost,
less availability of finance and much other negative aspect.
RECOMMENDATION
With the above discussion and analysis it is clear that it is beneficial for the country to
bid for the hosting of the event of Olympics in the country. But for proper management and
taking care of these various perspectives some of the recommendation are as follows-

 With respect to the social perspective it is recommended to the country that they must try
to increase the entertainment part attached with the Olympics. This is majorly because of
the reason that this will attract more of the consumers and visitors (Kenyon and Bodet,
2018). This is particularly because of the reason that when the entertainment will be high
then this will automatically increase the interest of the viewers.
 Another major recommendation for the environment perspective is that at time of hosting
the event the most essential and important this for the government is to fulfil all the
corporate social responsibility towards the society and people coming to visit the event.
Thus, for this the recommended strategy is to charge some fine or penalty on the people
or the visitor who are not managing the cleanliness at the place of event (de Nooij and
van den Berg, 2018). This is a strategy which will influence the people to maintain
cleanliness and protect the environment at time of viewing the event.
 Further for the perspective of impact on tourism, event and hospitality sector the major
recommended step is to promote the event in very effective manner (Schnitzer,
Schlemmer and Kristiansen, 2017). This is particularly because of the reason that the
hosting of this event will assist the development of the related business as well like
transportation, food and beverages and other related businesses. This will assist in
maximise the benefit of more opportunity to other related businesses.
