INTRODUCTION Debate Challenge was perhaps one of the most important activities that required effective debating upon topic of Corporate Social Responsibility. Such activity is quite imperative as CSR is an essential part of each and every business organisation(Delaney and Bates, 2015). ANALYSIS OF CHALLENGE Corporate Social Responsibility is quite important to be included within business practices of an organisation as the effectiveness in operations is very well judged by the benefits these provide to the stakeholders of the company, that are the community as well as the people associated with the firm (Shah and Ahluwalia, 2019). It contributed within enhancement of knowledge in context of good practices which a company must follow to contribute to the societyinaneffectiveandappropriatemanner, alongwithenhancingtheirbusiness performances in an effective manner. DISCUSSION OF SKILLS Certain skills that have been utilised within the challenge are communication skills and meetings skills, which are prominent personal as well as professional skills (Fowles-Sweet and Haslam, 2019). In addition to this, application of such skills is not only required for academic purposes, whereas for professional aspects as well. In terms of both these skills, my meeting skills are quite effective, considering the fact that I was quite effective in presenting my views as well as appropriately and effectively consider the viewpoints of others on the topic. In addition to this, I was quite respectful to each and every individual while the debate was going on(Mantra and Maba, 2018). However, my communication skills were very weak. The reason for this is because despite of being an active listener, I was very much incapable of presenting my viewpoints on CSR to other individuals(Wald, 2015). For instance, I was in the favour of the fact that CSR is increasingly becoming a marketing tool(Örnek and Ayas, 2015). Moreover, for this purpose, I tried to provide prominent examples of companies that are using this element in their marketing purposes. However, I was very much hesitant in keeping up my point to the audience. Moreover, I was quite under-confident while debating upon the topic, which was very much inappropriate for accomplishment of the challenge(French and et. al., 2015). 1
CONCLUSION Therefore, Debate Challenge was very much effective in helping development of growth of certain competencies, along with better and effective insight onto the practices of CSR to improvise a company's operations and working. 2
