T-SHIRT CHALLENGE
INTRODUCTION
T-shirt challenge has to be e conducted in which a t-shirt is is presented in market. The
company wants to do the t-shirt challenge by having an attractive logo and managing the various
aspects of marketing like branding, promoting as well as financing and operating the product in
market.
ANALYSIS OF CHALLENGE
A company launched t-shirt and there were problems faced while deciding the best logon
that can be chosen for the t-shirt. There was a proper budget and money decided for managing
the selling of T-shirt. In the present case, did decided amount for tshirt is 200 pounds. there is a
proper budget which is prepared for marketing and selling this t-shirt in market. This included
variable cost that can reach up to 180 lbs. the estimated fixed cost for this t-shirt was 20 pounds.
Money is required for marketing and advertising this t-shirt properly within market. While doing
this challenge, main problem was to reach the target audience properly and provide them
guidance in in purchasing the new t-shirt. Decision for logo was made and different kind of
Mona prints were analysed so that T shirt will look attractive. There is need for managing the
target audience properly and focusing upon potential customers. There are three type of T-shirts
launched by this company which included monoprint, full colour T-shirts and plain T-shirts. All
these t-shirts were marketed for managing the operations effectively e and in this way company
can earn profits. There was a lot of problems while facing the t-shirt challenge in market. The
main challenge which I have to face while managing the t-shirt challenge was collection of right
kind of target audience which will buy the logo t-shirt. Logo are known as the most important
thing while selling any product in market. Another challenge that is faced by me was the
management of budget and proper finance for conducting the sale of T shirt. The logo was
developed for the t-shirt after evaluating and analysing a lot of concept about logo. The tagline
for logo was smile for everyone. This has helped in in managing the buying of T-shirt in
effective manner.

DISCUSSION OF SKILLS
I have developed lot of skills which are needed for managing work related to product
promotion. These included effective team management, communication skills, time management
skills as well as business skills. It is very important for me to manage the promotion work
properly and for this I have to develop these skills and maintain proper way of working. I have
good communication skills and this has helped me me to manage the work properly and avoiding
any conflicts and fights within the team members. I was able to convey my message to other
teammates properly and guide them in achieving the organisational goals. I have also developed
MS Excel skills which is required for managing the financial data. Good business skills are
developed within me for managing various tasks related to the product promotion. It is seen that
I have good team management skills that have helped me a lot in in doing various activities in
the product promotion process.

ACTION PLAN
I have evaluated and analysed my skills in the processes related to the product
promotion. There is requirement of managing the work properly and enhance the skills in proper
manner. I have to develop my knowledge regarding finance and marketing so that it will be easy
for me to who manage the promotion of products and services in order to make money for the
company. MS Excel skills are developed for managing all the financial work related to affective
t-shirt promotion. Business skills are also developed for managing the work in proper manner.

CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, this is interpreted that t-shirt challenge for logon management
was done effectively by utilising all the skills in proper manner. This work is related to the
management of work properly. I have put lot of efforts for completing the creative and attractive
logo for this new logo t-shirt.

HOTEL CHALLENGE
INTRODUCTION
In this challenge, a luxurious hotel is launched as it is my dream project. There is
requirement of lot of investment in in achieving this goal. There are various issues which are
involved in the management of this new hotel which include location, promotion and budget. In
the present representation, there is challenge which is associated with managing different skills
and competencies in order to face this hotel challenge.

ANALYSIS OF CHALLENGE
While launching of a a new luxurious hotel within UK, there are lot of challenges and
issues which can be faced by any person. I have faced lot of challenges while managing play the
business operations related to the launching of hotel. the biggest challenge was to manage budget
and money which is required for completing the hotel project. For launching the hotel, there was
requirement of effective funds and investment for handling day operations and activities related
to hotel development. Finance within any business project has to be smoothly running so that it
will not become a burden while managing the project work. Location is also an important aspect
while starting any e new project for organisation startup. In context of this new hotel, it is very
essential to analyse the perfect location which is profitable for the company. Different type of
promotion can be used by the company for managing the project work in effective manner.

DISCUSSION OF SKILLS
This is essential for need to develop various skills which will help in conducting the project work
for hotel in effective manner. This is concluded that in order to run a successful business, there
are several skills required for managing the work effectively. Success is only achieved by people
who utilise their skills and develop new skills for achieving goals and objectives. There are a lot
of skills required for managing the project work which includes communication skills, MS Excel
skills, time management skills and team management skills. This will help me to manage the
workforce properly and develop effective plants which will help in attaining success.

ACTION PLAN
I have evaluated different skills which are required for managing business properly and
enhancing problem solving skills. In order to run a successful hotel, there is need of managing
the business risks properly and handling the finance work in effective manner. It is concluded
that effective marketing is also required for managing the work in proper manner and providing
success to the new luxury hotel. It is important for me to manage the abilities and skills properly
so that there are no conflicts and fights while managing the work.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it is analysed that it is very important for launching a
luxurious hotel and having effective team management so that all the challenges related to the
project is completed successfully. This is required by me that time is managed properly and
budgeting is done effectively so that there are no issues in handling the hotel growth and
development. Proper management of finance and budgeting will help in analysing the success of
hotel and promoting it in effective manner.

PRESENTATION CHALLENGE
INTRODUCTION
In the following report, there is discussion about challenge within the way of reflective
portfolio. This is a presentation challenge in which t-shirt challenge is presented. In this
challenge, student has to present a presentation on supermarket of UK which is selling a new
product. The supermarket firm that is chosen by me is Tesco. It is the largest supermarket chain
of UK which has the largest Market share among the supermarket industry. In this report, there is
discussion about how the challenge is taken and what are the skills that are developed within the
individual while conducting the presentation..
ANALYSIS OF CHALLENGE
The presentation challenge was not an easy task. I have work within team for achieving
the goals and preparing a a good PowerPoint presentation which have to be presented in front of
the tutor. There are lot of of information regarding the the UK supermarket industry and The
chosen company that is Tesco. There were slides in the presentation which describes various
type of trend among the supermarket of future as well as present time. Our team has to to
conduct a primary and secondary research for grabbing data and information about the UK
supermarket chain. the presentation was made in an effective manner and it contained all the
relevant statistics and data regarding the supermarkets. This representation included the financial
performance of Tesco as well as the competitors of it naming Aldi , Asda, Lidl, etc. There is
presentation of of external and internal business environment analysis of the retailer. It included
pestel and SWOT analysis of the organisation. While preparing this presentation, the main hurdle
was to presenting suggestions for the retailer in order to enhance their market share and profit.

DISCUSSION OF SKILLS
This challenge has emphasized on a lot of skills which are developed while working
within team. It is concluded that while conducting the research, data was collected effectively
from different secondary sources like early researches, books, articles, journals, website,
MINTEL reports, etc. There is one of the most important skill which was very challenging that is
research skill. I have analysed that research skill is the most essential skill that is required by any
individual or group for managing the collection of data properly that can be used while giving

the presentation. I have good research and skills which enable me to manage the task in proper
manner and collecting relevant statistics and data regarding Tesco company. While collecting the
information, I also gained knowledge regarding different competitors of Tesco and their financial
performance analysis. I also gathered data regarding the strategies and plans used by the
company to maintain competitive advantage. There is another skill which was difficult to
manage and it was a challenge for me in the whole project which is communication skill. I have
noticed that my communication skills are not effective and I am unable to convey my message
thoroughly. It is very essential to work in any group and have effective communication skill as it
is helpful in building the network and motivating other team members to work properly as a
team. This is also helpful in achieving the goals and objectives in less time. it was very
challenging for me to develop my communication skills as I am an introvert person. But while
working within team, I developed this scale and manage to complete the task in proper time. I
have collected all the validate and reliable data for completing the project work. Another biggest
challenge while conducting the presentation was data interpretation skills. I feel that I am not
good at managing financial data which was gathered from organisation website and online
articles. I am not able to interpret data from statistics like graph or pie chart or histograms. I have
learnt from my team members for how to interpret data from this type of graphs and get the
desired results. Another challenge which I have to face was presentation skills. This is my
problem that I am not able to give good presentations so I asked my team members to give me a
small part so that presentation will look good in front of the audience.
ACTION PLAN
This is one of the most essential skill that is required by individual for enhancing skills
and competencies for managing personal and professional development properly. In context of
this, it is decided by me that I have to develop data interpretation skills and presentation skills as
Island in both of them. I have learnt from my team members and mentor that what should be
done to enhance my presentation skill as well as data interpretation skill. I have managed to work
effectively and do my project work properly. This has helped me in inflating my existence level
of skill and increasing the personal and professional requirement it in the future time. I have
taken various training sessions and development sessions which have help me in in executing the

action plan and achieving the work in proper manner. The challenges faced by me while working
in the project have been overcome so that there is no problem in future for conducting the
research in effective manner.
CONCLUSION
From the above portfolio, it can be concluded that presentation challenge was a very
effective task that included assistance of of individuals and they got opportunity for applying
various skills and achieving the the goals in stipulated course of time. This can also be inferred
from the action plan that developing skill should not be a shortcoming in attaining the goals and
objectives of project. Hence, it is very important to to learn all the skills for conducting the
presentation so that there is no problem in future aspect while doing the similar projects.

DEBATE CHALLENGE
INTRODUCTION
Debate challenge is involved in the most of the prominent activities and tasks that are
helpful for managing identity of the individual. It provides help in in different type of skills that
are used for managing the accomplishment of tasks in proper manner. In this reflective portfolio,
there is discussion about the subject matter of corporate social responsibility.. this is a a very
important aspect for businesses as it helps them in building value and reputation within market as
well as in front of customers. It is very important for all the reputed organisations whether small
or big, to invest sum of their profit to the welfare of society e as it will provide help to to poor
and needy people.this will ultimately lead to economic development. CSR is a a concept that is
given by the government of all countries today organisations in which they have to invest few
percent of their profit in the welfare of society.
ANALYSIS OF CHALLENGE
This is very essential for any company to undertake the activities of corporate social
responsibility as it is helpful in in managing the the brand reputation and value effectively. By
using the CSR activities it is easy to to attract lot of stakeholders so that value of company will
increase. Involvement in the CSR activity will provide benefit two stakeholders and analysing
the community in proper manners. Moreover, by analysing the CSR activities and these are
managed in organisation for satisfying effectiveness of individual in the company. It is very
important to increase the performance of company and CSR activities contribute a lot towards it.
DISCUSSION OF SKILLS
It is duly analysed that there are lot of skills while managing this challenge. They include
communication skills and meeting skills. I have to manage both of these skills in order to
manage the CSR activities properly. There is importance and prominence of these skills in order
to manage the work in proper manner and achieving goals and objectives properly. It is very
important for or me to manage the meeting skills so that it is helpful for me too to analyse the
skills properly and manage the work in effective manner. It is very important that I am able to
communicate with other team members effectively and provide them information about the need

of CSR within the company. Meeting skills are very important for analysing the business
activity and manage the process debate properly. Moreover, it is required that if I am having
good communication skill then and I cannot be a good leader. It is very important for me to
manage marketing tool entity so that it is helpful for growth and success of the company. It is
also important that all the skills have been effectively managed for analysing growth and
development in front of audience.

ACTION PLAN
It is very important for me that where is identification as well as analysis of my
shortcomings which are involved in developing the activities and tasks. It is very important for
analysing the shortcomings properly and managing the threat to company in future. I have
evaluated that there is need for enhancing the communication skills which are helpful for
managing verbal skills and interaction with people in proper manner. It is important for me to
undertake different debate classes for managing the assessors properly. There is need for
managing the work in proper manner and achieving the skills properly. Moreover, it is seen that
self confidence and speech skills are very important for managing the work in proper manner.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it is analysed that debate challenge is an effective challenge for
facilitating growth and development within an individual. This is also evaluated that effective
and better practices of CSR when helper company to manage the working properly and work in
effective manner.. this is very essential for me too to work in proper manner and analyse this
skills for doing all the activities properly.
