Introduction
Social media plays a significant role in the growth of industries and organisations in Australia.
This is made with the development of the products and services that are required by the

them in the market (Lupton, 2015). The report will include the aspects of the market that are
essential to be considered while promotion of products and services take space in the market.
This helps in reducing the cost and increasing the profitability with a high number of customers
in the organisation.
Further, the effective production takes place with the training and development practices
provided to the employees. This help in attracting the customers and makes to know about the
products sold in the market. This helps in the creation of goodwill and enhances the profitability
of the business. This also helps in analysing the behaviour of the consumer so that they can be

1.1 Problem Statement
The research has given its focus on the number of people that uses the social media for the
purchase of products and services. The social media has been used by the every age group of
people with the innovation in the digital technology. The innovation in digital technologies is
taking place at a high rate and that has made the increment in the competition in the market.
The development of the competition in Australia has increased with the effective use of digital
technologies in the Hospitality industry. This has made the hospitality services to produce the
services that are required by the customers. The needs of the customers can be assessed in an
effective manner with high level of competition that takes place in the economy of the country
(Gottfried, et. al., 2016).
From the survey, it has been evaluated that the increase in the usage of social media has made
the increase in the dependence on internet and technologies. The offline sale of products and
services has been reduced. This also increased the chances of hacking and security theft. Such
problems have been faced by the hospitality industry due to the leakage of financial data and
trust of the employees gets diluted. This impacted the success of the organisation and made them
have high security that accrues high cost in the organisation.
