Global events are organised for the purpose of attaining media attention and facilitating the

types of events may result positively as well as negatively. Some of the favourable impacts of
them includes increment in employment, good relations with other countries etc. The negative
impacts of them for a country which will be willing to bid for hosting such types of events could
be risk of spread of disease, increased pollution, crime, security and environmental concern etc.
If countries will be bidding to host a global event like Olympic then it these implications could
be faced by them. It is very important for all the governmental parties of nations to make sure

There are various ways which could be focused by the countries that are willing to host
Olympics for the purpose of maximising the benefits and minimising the challenges. The
recommendations for the same are as follows:
 It has been recommended to organisers of Olympics to make sure that they are focused
with reduction of negative impacts of the event on tourism and hospitality industry. The
legal authorities can find ways to reduce the short term negative implications such as
employment for a short period. If it will be resolved, then it can help to deal with the
issue of unemployment and increase job opportunities in tourism industry. Apart from
this, the legal authorities can also pay attention towards decrement of influence on the
country as the tourism destination by making sure that all the requirements of tourists are
fulfilled. It can help to reduce the issues and maximise benefits of increased tourism
within the country.
 It has been recommended to the organisers of the events to be focused with reduction of
pollution. For this purpose, strict regulations for all the visitors could be formulated who
will be attending Olympics. With the help of it, the country will be able to decrease the
threat of carbon footprint and negative implications on the environment. If these issues
will be resolved systematically then it can also help to portray a good image of the nation
in front of the tourists and increase tourism for future.
 The organisers of Olympics are recommended to deal with the issue of unfavourable
image of the country because it is the main issue which is required to be dealt properly.
