The Webb’s Store has several data centres located across various locations in
Australia such as Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. They make use of the Microsoft servers
2012 R2 databases. The company is looking to upload their databases into cloud structures.
The report provides the details about the cloud architecture implementation of the
company (Rittinghouse & Ransome, 2016). The report contains the various type of
information about the cloud implementation such as the IaaS and the PaaS approach for
migration of the databases to the cloud based solution.
Discussions for the implementation of the cloud based solution for the company
There are two type of approach that can b adopted by the company to implement the
system. They are the IaaS and PaaS methods.
An IaaS approach to migrating Webb’s database to the cloud
The IaaS is the Infrastructure as a Service. It is the infrastructure services that are
provided by the different cloud providers (Bruneo, 2014). This would help the organization to
obtain the infrastructure form the cloud providers and hence, they would not require buying
the infrastructure for the implementation of the database for the system. This would save a lot
of money for the company.
A PaaS approach to migrating Webb’s database to the cloud
The Platform as a Service can also be adopted as an approach for the implementation
of the cloud based solution for the company (Pahl, 2015). This would provide the company
with the option to obtain the platform online and also would save the cost for the company to
obtain a platform, as they would be provided with a readymade platform. The Microsoft

azure is one of the services that the company can organization can use for implementing their
