1- Quality of life and burnout among faculty members: How much does the field of knowledge
matter?
Faculty members usually have a large workload that involves research, conducting outreach
programs and overseeing the management of activities. These demands put the faculty members
at a high risk of burnout. The sample size of this study was 366 participants from a public
university. The method used was a cross sectional study. The data collection process involved
using validated tools to measure the burnout and the quality of life. The results of this study
show that the implementation of programs that help to reduce the burnout rate which affects the
quality of life of the faculty members. Major implication of this study is the that the results were
generalized to the burnout levels of both males and females. More research should be done to
investigate the impact of burnout on each gender (Alves, de Fatima Oliveira, & da Silva Paro,
2019)
2-The structural relationships between organizational commitment, global job satisfaction,
developmental experiences, work values, organizational support, and person-organization fit
among nursing faculty
The global shortage of nurses has had a huge impact on the medical department. This has result
in the increased need to analyze the concept of organizational commitment to increase the
graduate recruits and retain current faculty. The method used was a cross sectional correlation
study. the data collection process involved structural equation modeling sample size was nurses
at a nursing facility. The results of the study show that nursing faculty members can build

positive relationships with the nursing faculty. The major implication of this study is that future
research is required to determine the variables that are influenced by the positive relationships
(Gutierrez, Candela, & Carver, 2012).
3-Prevalence of Burnout Syndrome in a Sample of Brazilian University Professors.
teachers are at the highest risk of developing a burnout syndrome. The method used was a cross
sectional study. the data collection involved filling in a questionnaire. The sample size of the
study was 169 university professors who were employed at 7 higher learning institutions. The
results show that burnout is major cause of cancer and has major implications on the physical,
mental and social well-being. The major implication of this study is that the root cause of the
burnout syndrome was not analyzed (Costa, Gil-Monte, Possobon, & Ambrosano, 2013)
4- Nursing faculty burnout and strategies to avoid it
A cross sectional study that had a sample size of 322 teachers was used. The data was collected
by filling in a Job Satisfaction Scale. The results of the study show there was relation between
one teacher’s job satisfaction. The implications of the study show that researchers should
develop a selection and recruitment file the new teachers (Allen, 2008)
5- Relationship between Teachers’ Job Satisfaction and Students’ Academic Performance.
Evidence based research has shown that teachers who are satisfied with their jobs tend to
perform better. The sample size of this study was 322 teachers teaching at secondary schools in
Faisalabad, Pakistan. The study design was cross sectional study. the data collection method
