ABSTRACTOrganizations around the world focus on raising the profitability. In order to do so, theyimplement strategies so that they are able to attain competitive advantages. It is important for thebusiness to have proper support from the side of employees so that they are able to attain thegoals and objectives. Main focus of the research is made on understanding the importance ofdigitizing the kitchen systems so it improves productivity. For this respect, Adams RestaurantBirmingham is taken in to consideration. From the findings, it can be stated that workers facedifficulty to understand the digitized system as they think it is complex. In order to over this,employees should be provided with intensive training so that they are able to develop their skillsand capabilities. Further, it can be concluded that digitized kitchen system is highly effective inraising sales and profitability.

Thisis highly important as it enables to make sure that the rate of work is reduced and customers areprovided with proper satisfaction (Bhargave, Jadhav and Lahane, 2013). Main aim of any firm isto gain maximum profit. This is only possible when one is able to understand the requirement ofcustomers and provide them services as their need and requirements. In this context, the serviceusers have many options from where they are able to attain their satisfaction level. There aremany strategies applied by firms so that they can develop positive perception within customersmind. With this respect, there are certain set of factors that are considered by service users inwhich it includes quality, quantity, price, etc. When there is improvement in technology, then itbecomes favourable enough to raise the satisfaction level of customers. Digitizing can bedetermined to be major change in technological and enables to lead all sectors. Organizations areunderstanding the importance of digital technology and they have focused on using them. This isgenerally adopted so that the time consumed can be reduced (Tanpure, Shidankar and Joshi,2013). In restaurants and hotels, the kitchen appliance are digitized and they all work on remoteand sensors that enable to reduce the time taken for providing services to customers. The presentresearch it focused on Adams Restaurant which is located at Birmingham UK. Cited firm aim atdelivering their customers with high quality services. There are certain set of issues that are facedin which cited firm is not able to perform with their full efficiency and the main reason for thiscause is not making use of digitalized kitchen appliances. There are many importance of theimprovement that are made in this area and the step that has to be considered so that it is possiblefor the firm to implement them in effective manner. 1.3 BackgroundDigitalization can be determined to be the process for converting information tin to adigital format. Different people have diverse se to perception when there make any type ofpurchases. In this context, it includes quality, time, etc. When the requirements are fulfilled, thenit enables to develop strong customer’s base. Main aim is to raise the satisfaction level and with1
the help of digitalization in kitchen for restaurants can reduce the work load and also improve thequality of services and products. It was in 18th century when a restaurant started making use oftechnology through which they were able to prepare meals without having to take time forpreparation. Main focus for this was done so that the waiting time by the customers can bereduced. In restaurants, customers prefer to get their as soon as possible. In order to over this, useof technology was done so that the waiting time can be reduced. There are many changes that hastaken place in respect with the changes that are required by the customers. In this process, itrequires to have frequent research to be conducted so that management is able to understand therequirement of customers and accordingly changes are made for the type of services andproducts that are delivered (Cheong, Chiew and Yap, 2010). Further, there is Kitchen displaysystem that is basically an information and ordering system that is displayed in Kitchen backend.This is done so that the efficiency of the restaurant can be improved. Employees are the face oforganization as they have direct interaction with customers. It is important that they have properunderstand about the roles and responsibilities that they have to play. When they are not able toperform with their full efficiency, then there are negative impacts over the business. There areconditions in which workers fail to perform effectively and one of the reason is work load. Whenemployees are burdened with work, then they get demotivated. In this context, digitalization ishighly effective to reduce the load of workers and in minimum efforts they are able to providehigher quality of services. Apart from this, the rate of waste that happen in restaurant is high.When there is implemented of system like Kitchen display system, then firm is able to makeproper control over the waste that occurs. In addition to this, it enables to improve inventorymanagement. 1.4 RationalThere are many firms that deliver their customers with similar set of products andservices. They all make use of strategies so that they are able to attract more and morecustomers. Further, customers’ expectations are increasing and with increase in competitionservice users have vide options from where they can meet their requirements. With the help ofimproved or new technology, it enables to raise the sales and profitability (Tan and Chang,2010). Further, the main advantage that restaurants get when digitalization is used, they canmake improvement in the manufacturing unit in which the food can be prepared better and faster.2
Customers prefer to make use of the services that are delivered to them at low cost but with highquality. They quality of work that are performed can beimproved and this way their performance level and profitability will also get boosted up. Further,the purpose of the research is to consider the strategies that are applied by the business toimplement the systems that are involved in kitchen digitalization. Further, there are differenttypes of issues that are faced by Adams restaurant and to overcome them, it requires to make useof strategies so that they are able to undertake the research in effective manner. It will comprise information about thedissertation structure and framework and analysis. Chapter 2- Literature Review: There are many researches that are conducted by someother researcher. It can be stated that the information that are gained from other researchers arehighly effective to make sure that in depth understanding can be developed. In other words,historical investigation relevant to the current subject will be included in this chapter, it will helpin analyzing past research studies on the type of digitalization that are applied and the researchthat are conducted on similar topic. Chapter 3- Research Methodology: There are different type of research methodologiesthat are applied and for each of them it includes various type of techniques, tools, approaches,etc. that enables to conduct the research in effective manner. In other words, this chapter willinclude information about the appropriate methods which will be used by researcher forcompleting whole investigation in effective manner. It includes appropriate methods ofinvestigation such as research philosophy, approach, design, strategy, data collection methods,etc.Chapter 4- Data Analysis: When the data is gathered, then it requires to make properanalysis to be made.
