INTRODUCTION
Cultural safe practice is delivering of the most appropriate health service to the people
without considering or discriminating them in the basis of their culture or background. These are
the safe practices which respect the cultural identities of other people and also satisfy their need
by doing the same (West and et.al., 2021). The report will shed light on the case of Joan and will
suggest strategies to provide culturally safe practices to improve the likelihood and the quality of
life.

Culturally safe practice for providing care to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples
The role played by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health workers is the most
important for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. They not only provide clinical
care but also provide primary care to the families, individuals and even the community groups.
These health workers not only work in a single environment but in many different types of
environments. Some are employed in the health organisations or the government sector while
some are working in the non-government sector. They are found to exist in regional, remote or
metropolitan areas. They cannot be working randomly, they need to be registered with the
Agency named as Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency referred as AHPRA and
also protected under the section 113 of the National Law (Fernando and Bennett, 2019).
It is must to provide cultural safe care to these types of people. This deals to create an
environment which is safe for such people, which mean that there are no chances of challenge,
assault or denial of their experience or identity. In this, the main things included are that the
practitioners must respect his own knowledge and identity. They must know the value of how the
cultural values, skills, knowledge and attitudes are formed and impact others. They must ensure
that they do not involve in racism, unconscious bias or discrimination while addressing the issues
(Tremblay and et.al., 2020). Along with themselves, they must also have sense of respect
towards the Aboriginal people, cultures and communities along with the skills and attitudes so
that they can effectively and efficiently work with them. They need to commit to redesign the
systems and the organisations so that the racism and discrimination can be reduced. This will
help in developing various strategies for removing the barriers to well being, health and the
safety outcomes for such people. This is why, cultural safety is not considered to be one time
