About This Document
The Kibbe decision can be used as an example. For the assignment, you are to write a Supreme Court Decision as if you were the Judge writing the decision. You want to use the facts to support your decision as well as the law and any previous cases cited in the material presented. You don't need to do any further citation. In this class we will be reading parts of various Supreme Court decisions. An issue is that the decisions are often very long, so I either have you read the syllabus or parts of a case. The Kibbe decision is an example of a NY Court of Appeals case that is shorter and fairly straightforward. You can model your assignment on this case. However your assignment does not need to be quite as long.
