INTRODUCTION Laws and legislation are made by government authorities are very importantand it should be followed by organizations and people who are working inthat particular nation. Present report is based on Potato council. The councilis responsible for the sustainability and competitiveness of potentiates whichgrows in the UK. In the present report different role of government in lawmaking are explained. Along with this, the way statutory and common laware applied in the courts are discussed. Apart from this, the effectiveness oflegal system in terms of diversity of the laws are evaluated. 1.)The business law is known as the law that mainly regulate withbusiness and consider to be branch of civil. Further it mainly deal withdifferent issues related to public law and private law. The common law ismainly obsessed in the judicial system it is so because it is a part of theEnglish law (Lieberman and et. al., 2016). This is developed since from theancient time and it is not properly organized by the judicial system. All thedecision which are taken into consideration by common law has shown onpolicy judgment and precedent which is drawn for the economies andbusiness. The Potato council is mainly responsible of the competitive in the UK forgrowing potato. There are some different function for which the Potatocouncil is responsible. It covers to promotes its product at another countryand abroad (Pryor, 2016). . The council has a team which work is todemonstrates recipes. Along with this there are publication of the councilwhich is titled as Potato weekly. There are different agricultural fairs whichare visited by the council and their one of the major work is to focus onvirtue and health benefits of potatoes. As per the given scenarios, Thepotato council needs to comply with different sources of business law thatare as follows:3
Legislation: Legislation is essential source of business law whichPotato council must comply with it. It need to conduct all its businessactivities which abide by legislation of the UK (Ware, 2016). Furtherlegislation is passed by provincial legislatures and parliaments.Legislation help in supporting different function and purpose of thebusiness and it also present some framework such as to authorize, topermit or to restrict and to regulate etc. Case law: Case law which is compared to other sources of law havemore adaptability and flexibility (Gomtsian, 2016). Therefore, Potatocouncil need to comply its business with case law because it helpfunctioning of the business to enable the status of legal systems. Allthe judgment which is passed by the judges through important caselead to become sources of law.Equity: At Wales and England Equity is one of the sources of law andmain achievements of equity is charities, trust and probate (Labatt andForrest, 2016). . As per according to the government mindset, that inorganization it is important that those who come for equity must comewith clean hands. So Potato council must use this source of law andfollow it in their business. 2The government of UK perform different function in order to implementlaw made by them. Before implementing such law it need to be pass bylegislature after than new law can be taken into consideration. Along withthis, Bill need to be considers and accepted in parliament by ever authorityand department (Light, 2016). After all process fulfill by parliament then itwill taken into consideration as an act. Government play important role inmaking rules and regulations which are very important for an organization inorder to carry out business in fair manner. Further a will need to be passed in4
