Based on Richard Wright's essay "The Library Card," how do stereotypes and
societal expectation affect one's identity?
Be sure to:
1) Focus on the assigned reading ("The Library Card") and topics from last week’s
lecture to write your essay.
2) Include a three-point thesis in the first paragraph of your essay.
3) Include quotes and examples from "The Library Card" in three three body
paragraphs to support your discussion.
4) Cite your quotes and examples in MLA format.
5) Write your essay in third-person.
