Problem Statement
The ANX organization is a retail clothing organization dealing with retail business of
clothing in Australia. This organization was having only one retail store from where they used to
conduct their business. As the business is growing, the company has opened many store in
different cities of Australia and thus needs and centralized software application so that they can
maintain the stocks of the all the centres in their database. The owner of the organization wants
an application software that will allow the staffs and the employees to update their sales and
stocks in the system and the customer can also go for online retail marketing which would help
to increase the sales rate. The organization was facing problem in handling the stocks I all the
retail store and thus wants to improve their business process by implementing this application
system. The drawback of the company for overcoming the business process is handled in this
project. This project details the brief of developing the application system for the project.
Project Summary

2IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT
This project aim to achieve the detailed planning procedure for developing the software
application for the project. This project will detail the planning process of developing the new
application software for the project. There are different stages that are to be carried out for
developing the application system for the organization. Six different stages are shown in the
WBS that states different activities that are to be carried out in developing the application for the
organization.
The phases that are included in the WBS shown below states Initiation Phase,
Development Phase, Application Implementation Phase, Testing phase, Installation Phase, and
project closure phase. The below diagram is a three level WBS that is used for developing the
application system for the organization. All the phases included have many different activities. In
initiation phase, planning of project in details takes place. Managing scope of the project,
managing of human resource, managing the risks, procurement management and the quality
management are all decided in the initiation phase. In development phase, the resources are
gathered for developing the application and requirements for designing the system is stated in the
development phase. In the implementation phase, the application software is build and designed
for the organization. This implementation phase has three more phases includes designing
application, building application and managing deliverables.
After the implementation being completed, there is testing phase where testing of all the
modules are done. Each of the module in the system are tested individually and defects are
recorded against the modules. Then is the installation phase which states installing all the
modules that are build and tested individually. After implementing all the modules, the system is
to be implemented and again the whole system is to be tested. The last phase is the project
closure phase that includes training that is to be provided regarding the application.
