INTRODUCTION
Tourism in simple words is defined as travelling for fun or for some others purposes. It is
a business of attracting, accommodating and entertaining various tourists all over the world. In
the present time tourism industry is one of the fastest growing and available with huge amount of
opportunities. The global travel and tourism industry is valued at USD 7581 Billion and the
forecasted growth is 3.8%. This industry is contributing approx 10% of the total GDP at global
level. Their are number of destinations emerging in the tourism industry and these destinations
needs to be managed and developed so that growth can be maintained in the industry. In this
project the concept of destination management is defined. Together with this evaluation of role
of destination management at different stages of the destination life cycle is presented in detailed
manner.
Tourism is an activity thorough which individuals move and stays in different places
other then their usual place of living. Their are different types of tourism such as domestic,
inbound and outbound tourism. The presentation possess different emerging destinations and
their features and characteristics in detailed manner to understand tourism destination
management.

Global Tourism is a leisure activity which crosses national borders of different countries
and explores different destinations for tourism purposes all over the world. Governments of
various countries ease visa norms by allowing visa-on-arrival, visa-free arrival for travellers of
some countries. With opening up of international market and globalisation several destinations
are top choice of commuters all around world which includes Paris, Dubai and Venice.
Top International Destinations-
Australia: Australia is one of the famous place known for wide space and natural
wonders. It is one of the most highly urbanised country in the world. Each year large number of
tourists visits this country and tourism contributes approx 3% towards GDP of the country.
Beaches, mountains and forests in Australia attracts more and more tourists and make this place
