Question 1 – Thesis or main argument
Watkins (2013) in the article entitled “What is organizational culture? And why should
we care” argues on the importance of the organizational cultures that need to be maintained
within the business organizations that are functional within international markets. The
organizational cultures within the business organization helps in the overall development of the
organizational performance within the given industry. The proper organizational culture within
the company helps in motivating the employees of the organization in the achievement of the
mission and the goals that are set by the concerned management of the organization.
The organizational culture reveals the ways in which the internal operations within the
company might be affected due to the decisions that have been undertaken by the concerned
management of the organization. The proper interpretation of the organizational culture that is
maintained within the concern assists in the proper understanding of the society that has been
surrounding the organization in discussion (Watkins, 2013). The author further argues on the fact
that the organizational culture as is maintained by the multitude of the business organizations
tend to help maintain the civil as well as disciplined condition within the workplace. This in turn
helps in the overall development of the organizational performance within the given markets.
