Project Management Methodologies for Royal Defense Educational Platform

This section discusses the project management methodologies for the development of an educational platform for Royal Defense. It covers the knowledge areas of project management and explores six PM methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Six Sigma, Waterfall, and PMBOK. The focus is on the Scrum methodology and its processes and benefits. The limitations of ineffective project management are also discussed.

The purpose of this presentation is to discuss thee project management methodologies
of the Royal Defense case scenario who has expressed to develop an educational platform on
behalf of defense department.
This section has discussed about the knowledge areas of the project management as
this approached project demands an effective project management team to deploy this
platform.
Followed by these in this section it has discussed about the Six PM methodologies
which includes the Agile Methodology, Scrum, Kanban, Six Sigma, Waterfall as well as the
PMBOK methodology.
Later on, in this section the description of the appropriate PM methodology which is
the Scrum Methodology is present.
This section consist of the discussion of the processes present in the Scrum frame
work as well as consist the discussion of the Knowledge Areas of Scrum framework.
In this section it has described about the benefits as well as the impact of this
application of Scrum Methodology.
Considering the intention of Royal Defense it has been observed that they have a
significant tendency towards rapid growth as the fundamental purpose of this organization is
to provide effective services related to the planning and providing direction towards the
educational field which in the defense sector. Thus, from the analysis of the goals of this
organization it can be stated that the organization holds the maturity level of 5 which stands
to represent the optimization factor.
Followed by the above aspects in this section it has been displayed that however, the
organization holds the maturity level 5 but according to Lin et al., (2015) the improper

utilization of the PM methodology will have following limitations. Those limitations
includes:
 Due to infective project management there will be high to utilize the provided
resources in ill-mannered way as if the project plan will be not efficient it will be
difficult for the team to maximize the resource utilization.
 Along with the above problem there is a significant chance of developing a poor
project management plan as it is impossible for the project manager to proceed with
an infective project management plan.
 Followed by the above problems there is a high chance of Scope Creep if the project
management plan is less effective as it will be problematic to process with such
management plan which cannot visualize the project future scope.
 Due to an infective project management utilization there is a high chance of the
incrementing the project expenses.
 Less effective project management plan holds a high chance of poor quality of project
deliverables.
 Along with that it also consist the unrealistic project development which is highly
impossible to mitigate and deliver the assumed product.
 Followed by the above limitations there is a huge chance of project failure as by
utilizing an infective project management method the developer will be highly
confused by the project plan and it will be difficult for them to deploy the required
product.
The above mentioned limitations are the possible aspects which have the chances to occur
during the project development phase. From the above list one of the major aspect is it will

carry the less utilization of resources due to which the project management process can be
affected. Along with that it also consist the unrealistic project development which is highly
impossible to mitigate and deliver the assumed product.
Followed by the discussion related to the above aspects it can be concluded that the
organization Royal Defence holds a good intention in order to provide enhancement in the
defence sector by providing them effective solution related to the educational field. Thus, in
the above discussion it has been suggested to utilize the scrum methodology, as it has shown
that there are several benefits related to the application of Scrum Methodology. Followed by
this lastly it can be concluded that a proper utilization of PM methodology can effectively
enhance the development process of any organization hence it is essential to effectively
utilize the proper method for project development.
