INTRODUCTION
In order to develop competency aspects in the contemporary market scenario, every
individual is enhancing the scope of learning and development. This is also vital in terms of getting
more opportunities for personal and professional growth. I have developed the study on my own
experience level and there in I have discussed the ways which I have undertaken for the purpose of
managing my job roles in international business organization. In such respect, I made this study so
as to describe all the skills that I have learned while working on global level. The study is highly
beneficial for me as I have demonstrated my own capability as a decision leader. I have been
working with retail entity which has many branches all over the world; thus generally I get the
opportunity to work in different global market places.
MAIN BODY
I have been working with the retail entity from last 3 years and since the company has
diverse projects; therefore I am responsible to move to different places for managing my job roles.
In generalized term, I can say that in order to manage business in effectual manner, one must have
to develop varied skills and capability for overall adequate business management. Since, I have
worked in many countries; therefore I realized the value of considering cultural aspects in job roles.
I have seen how people consider value of cultural aspects and how they manage their work
processes through cultural norms and beliefs.
I have acquired knowledge on various things and I came to know that every individual must
have confidence to represent own views in front of others. While working on global level, I have
learned many skills and competencies such as the way of interacting with new people, ways of
managing things and style of communication. While working on global level, I have communicated
properly with all the employees so that to share information in effectual manner. At the same time, I
I realized what methods I should take into account for proper communication.

Being a global leader, it is my responsibility to listen others also so as to come out with
suitable decisions. Hence, I always hear point of each and every person so that they may not feel
demotivated. One of the most important aspect under leadership is that leader must have to consider
viewpoints of other followers and in decision making system, leaders must involve respective
followers and employees. I came to realize that I have involved people in decision making process
which gave a sense of motivation to them and which also encouraged them to be more confident.
However, I have also learned that presentability skills matters a lot to the individual for the
purpose of expressing my views to others. Working on global level has enhanced the opportunities
of success and I also came to emphasize on more competency aspects. Since, I work as a global
leader; therefore I always ensure that I am democratic in nature and I am not dominating others. I
have observed this in many cases where leader fails to meet the expectations of others because of
autocratic nature.
During global management, I came to comprehend the importance of global strategies and
how it helps in reducing challenges and business complexities. Thus, these are the major
dimensions which I have learned from my job roles and responsibilities. I have also faced many
challenges regarding languages which worked as barriers for me. Because of language difference,
sometimes I used to get confused and that has also hampered my job roles and responsibilities.
My followers used to have same sort of issues in which they were also unable to
communicate with others. However, in order to reduce the impact of such issues, I have organized
several training sessions so that people can learn varied dimensions. Hence, I can say that I have
learned the importance of training session for the employees. Further, I came to realize perception
of people as well regarding training and development aspects. Most of the time, people use to resist
training session; still I managed to influence them for attending development sessions.

Being a global leader, I am entitled to look upon employee's interest and motivation level;
therefore working on global level has actually helped me to realize several ways through which
employee motivation aspects can be fulfilled. Under my job roles and responsibilities, I had to
motivate and encourage people; thus I learned importance of all those techniques which managers
are using for employee motivation and management. Apparently, issues and challenges are more in
the case of global business management; hence I learned the best practice for conflict management.
I have acquired great experience working on global level because I learned many things which are
essential for my personal and professional job roles.
Since, I have the ability to listen others also; therefore I have not faced many issues with
diversified people. I have developed the skill through which I am now able to comprehend varied
dimensions of working with different people. Employee retention is an essential aspect that needs to
be considered by the employers so that talented people can be retained in the organization. At the
same time, I have acquired the ability to motivate people through monetary and non monetary
aspects.
I have seen how organization encourages employees for retention; thus I have also learned a
few techniques. Moreover, I have developed the competency to contribute more in growth and
success aspects of the organization and this has also enhanced my decision making ability. Now, I
also know the effects of hasty decisions on organizational performance. When I was working at
global level, my manager used to appreciate my performance as I was the one who contributed huge
efforts in achievement of organizational aims and objectives.
Since, I work in retail business; therefore I know the importance of proper communication
skills and I have learned this while working on global project. Earlier, I used to have problems with
people because of various differences; however as per the time, I realized that people should
emphasize more on coordinating facets for better work management. I used to perform all my job
roles and duties in effective manner; therefore this has strengthened my experience more.

While working on global level, my performance level was measured on the basis of several
dimensions and criteria; thus this gave me idea about all those standards which should be
considered in performance evaluation. In future, I will see more heights in my career; therefore it is
vital for me to see all those opportunities that are in front of me. At that time, I will use all these
skills for deriving prominent results.
In terms of development of skills and abilities, I can say that I have acquired knowledge on
many aspects which further also underpins career growth opportunities. I have the capability to
resolve employee's issues and constraints which they generally face while working with different
people. Thus, considering the same aspect, I have the ability to resolve employee related issues on
my own end.
I can undertake better decision for my team as well as for myself; hence I can say that I am
capable in managing team aspects. Being a leader, the most important aspect which I need to
consider is to have management ability; therefore I can say that I have learned management ability
while working on global level. I have management ability and I am also able to handle people from
different fields. Apart from this, I have the competency to monitor performance of other employees
which also aids me to identify the areas where improvements are required. At the same time, I am
undertaking feedback and responses from the employees who are working with me regarding the
need of training and development.
Summing up my roles and responsibilities, I can say that I have the capability to maintain
discipline in the organization which will also assist me in my future perspectives. Since, I want to
develop my career in leadership area; therefore it is imperative for me to utilize all these skills in
future. This will assist me to get more opportunities of growth, success and prosperity. During my
journey, I realized that discipline is significant to maintain in all the areas; therefore while working
on global level, I realized some ways through which discipline can be maintained.

I can also reduce work related issues through using my experience; hence here I can
confront that global level working is entirely different with that to domestic level. Working with
different people, I realized that there must be proper authority delegation of authorities within all
the employees so that work can be managed adequately. This is also useful in terms of producing
better results for the organization. I know the importance of authority delegation because it merely
helps the employees to contribute more in growth and success aspects. Apart from all these facets, I
realized that I should have comprehensive ability so that I can understand each and every aspect
related to global work management.
As per the discussion, it is clear that I have developed many skills and competencies which
are useful for me in future areas as well. However, instead of specifying advantages of global work
management, I would like to highlight challenges and constraints as well that impeded my
performance and productivity level. One of the most challenges I have experienced is in the realm
of language barriers. I was not able to comprehend different languages; therefore I used to have lot
of problems in communicating with people.
Due to cultural difference, I have faced discrimination as well in my career in which people
used to criticize my performance. Rather reacting on such thing, I preferred to emphasize more on
my work; therefore I developed patience skills. I have learned many things from theoretical aspects
and especially from decision theory which is concerned with identifying the values and
uncertainties in a given decision. The theory is also closely related to the field of game theory and it
is also concerned with the choices of individual agents.
I can make use of such theory in which I can undertake better decisions for my own
performance and capabilities and through which I can also minimize future uncertainties on higher
extent. The theory is useful for me as that helps me to realize that prior taking any decision, it is
significant to consider all the associated dimensions. This can assist in deriving better outcomes in
the subsequent situation.

Moreover, I know the importance of employee assessment because I have worked with a
team of 40. Working on global level guided me that I should construct clear goals and objectives
prior initiating with any task. I also came to realize that having clear goals will assist me to have
proper directions for managing my work. Nonetheless, in order to highlight the challenges which I
have faced, I can articulate that due to lack of support from the colleagues, somewhere I was unable
to manage things. Global market place is highly competitive and in order to survive in such market
place, it is vital for me to emphasize on continuous learning.
Working in retail sector requires wide range of skills and abilities and as I have experienced
various prospects in my pasts. However, this has helped me to explore my capabilities to a great
extent as well as encouraged me to initiate for each and every tasks or job so that I can contribute
positively towards my company’s functioning as attain my personal goals in better way.
Furthermore, through the experience of working retail sector has helped me in various areas such as
communication skills as of now I can interact with customers more effectively and understand their
needs and expectations to satisfy appropriately.
In addition to this, I have better leadership qualities that allows me to handle the
subordinates and guide them properly so that they can also work in the desired manner which is
required for the situation. Further, I always focus on improving my knowledge with trending
environment this helps me to react strategically more reliably and leads to reduce the risks and
uncertainties associated with the business.
To become more competent and capable, I have to use all my skills and capabilities in
optimistic manner so that I can develop my own potential in this competitive scenario. The major
learning can be seen in the area of leadership and management skills. Concluding the entire
experience, I can say that I have played all my roles and responsibilities in effectual manner;
however still for more development, I should focus on continuous improvement.
