INTRODUCTIONThe Developing manager is the person who manages large number of responsibilities andaimed at accomplishing the main objectives of the firm by directing the people and resources towork together. The study is based on the management behavior within the two hospitalitybusiness of London. This report will help in making a clear understanding about the managementstyles used in different hospitality business. Also it discovers the leadership styles used in theorganization in order to motivate the employees for the efficient operations which helps insustainability and growth of the firm. Moreover, it will also help in exploring the personal strengths, weakness, opportunities andthreats of the assistant manager of the Clayton Crown Hotel in London. This report will alsoreflecting the effective leadership qualities that help motivating the workforce and also supportthe main objective of Frankie & Benny’s restaurant. Furthermore, the report will help inproducing the Self-reflective report and career Development plan of the business.TASK 11.1 Different Management stylesManagement style can be referred as a method of leadership used by the manageraccording to the different types of perspectives (Hunt and Weintraub, 2017). In Clayton crownhotel, managers are mainly adopts the mixed type of management style in which sometimes theyengage the employees and leaders in taking the decisions while sometimes not. So there arevarious management styles that are used in the hospitality business such as:Persuasive management styleThis managerial behavior allows the manager of Clayton hospitality business incontrolling all the decisions. This approach ensures the staff members to lead by example andalso helps the employees in understanding the importance of manager’s decision.On the other hand Hyatt hotel do not adopts this management approach for managing theemployees within the business.Democratic management styleThis management approach allows the manager of the service industry to allow theemployees for taking part in decision making within the organization (Badawy, 2018). Managersof Clayton Company sometimes uses this approach in order to make the employees feel1

On the other hand, Managers within Hyatt hotel do not follow this management styleas they take their decisions according to the different situation of the business.Laissez-faire management styleThe Managers of the Hyatt hotel mainly follows this management style which allowsmanager to act like a mentor. This helps in empowering the strengths of the employee in order toinvite them for their creative productivity. On the other hand, Clayton Crown Manager do notadopts this type of management style as it they takes the situational decisions and always act as asuperiors(The developing manager, 2018) .1.2 Evaluating various leadership characteristicsLeaders are mainly aimed at satisfying the workforce of the organization as well as they acquiremany qualities which influence the attitude as well as behavior of the employees within Claytoncrown hotel (Rothwell and Ghelipter, 2017). Characteristics of the leaders are as follows: Honesty and integrity are the two important ingredients which makes a good leader.An effective leader needs to be confident enough to ensure that team members follow thecommands and instructions.A good leader needs to be a good communicator which inspires other moves and thoughts inorder to achieve the main objectives of Clayton Crown hotel. A good leader inspires the teammembers in increasing the individual performance which helps workforce to deliver the effectiveand efficient productivity. 1.3 Evaluating communication process within the hospitality businessCommunication is termed as the process by which the information is exchanged betweenindividuals through a common system of symbol, sign or behavior. All the instructions,commands and decisions need proper way of communication which can be easily understandableby the other employees within Clayton crown Hotel. However, Hyatt hotel mainly verbalcommunication which may not provide clarity to the instructions and commands of the supiriors.Being an Assistant manager, it is very important to adopt effective communication processwithin the hotel as it is a key part of company’s success.
