HRM1 It is right that the qualities of the leader are one of the key elements in determining the effectiveness of an organization. The leadership is all about the ability and willingness to take ownership of the organization. In order to be effective, leadership is built on a solid foundation comprising clear mission and vision. It is the art of motivating people to perform allocated tasks willingly, proficiently and capable. The leaders convert the potential into reality and an organization without them simply cannot be effective (Bolman & Deal, 2017). The role of the leaders causing the effectiveness of an organization can be understood from the following points: The leaders communicate the policies and plan to the members of the organization. The leaders are comprised of the culture and values of the organization as play a significant role in ensuring the attainment of the organizational goals. The employees decide the mission and vision of the organization effectively which provides employees in understanding the organizational direction. The leaders enable employees to understand their roles and responsibilities. The leaders create a plan of action which meets organizational goals effectively. A comprehensive planning process offers opportunities to the employees to comprehend, identify, contribute and attain well-defined objectives. The obligation and enthusiasm of the leaders are capable enough in shaping the common goals of the organization. The leaders inspire and motivate employees to perform at a next and higher level. The leaders influence and motivate employees to contribute and discuss innovative ideas for the positive environment. The employees are also encouraged to make use of different experience and ideas to enhance the organization (Yahaya & Ebrahim, 2016). The leaders have an open relationship with the employees. Such a relationship creates a sense of ownership among the employees. It progresses a closer association between individual and organizational objectives. The inspiration, direction, and motivation provided by the leaders cause the organization to determine the effectiveness of an organization. They inspire the team to attain organizational success.
