In the present report leadership has bene considered as one of the most important aspect which
has assisted the multinational company in growing and achieving the goals and objectives. It has
also helped the various organizations in enhancing the motivation and morale of employees
which is really necessary for the growth of firm. It has been analysed from the report that
leadership has the huge impact on the performance level of employees by providing them with
proper guidance and support. This has also supported the leaders in achieving their personal as
well as professional goals and objectives. It has also helped the employees of multinational
company in enhancing their efficiency as well as performance level. Leaders have also solved
the issues and problems which has bene faced by the employees in company. This has assisted
them in reducing the employee turnover. Leaders has also impressed their subordinates with the
help of their abilities. They have been involved in making better bond with their team members
which was really necessary. It has also been analysed that there have been various skills possess
by leaders which was really necessary so that the morale of employees can be increased. This has
supported the multinational company in growing and achieving their set target and mission. It
has also been analysed that leaders have also made use of various styles such as transformational
and transactional. This has assisted the leaders in enhancing the performance level of business
and they have been able to gain competitive advantage. This has assisted the company in
increasing their productivity as well as operational aspects.

CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION
Leadership can be defined as those skills which consists of the ability of an individual to
lead or to guide the other individual or the team member. It is basically the capacity of managing
the company resources so that the goals and objectives can be achieved and it will also help the
firm in growing. The leaders are basically engaged in analysing the challenges so that better
decisions can be taken. Leadership has the most significant role in the growth of multinational
company (Kiersch and Peters, 2017). The leaders are being involved in taking fast and decisive
action when the organization is being faced with any type of challenge. The good leaders in
multinational company are been engaged in enhancing the morale of employees. Leaders in
company is important as the leaders are being involved in guiding employees during the tough
time. They provide guidance to the work process and also help in building morale This assist in
increasing the productivity as well as operational efficiency. A leader is also responsible to set
the clear vision in the organization. Present report will lay emphasis on the role of leadership
practice in the growth of multinational organization. It will also provide the details about the
research methods which will be used in the report.

Background of the research
Leadership in multinational organization is really important as it assists them with growth
and profitability. It has been analysed that leaders are been gifted with various skills which helps
them in making better decision and taking corrective actions. The leaders in multinational

company have attributes like they are tech builders, problem solvers, action taker, decision
makers, honest and transparent. All these characteristics of leaders in organization assist them to
achieve the goals and objectives. It also helps them in growing and enhancing the productivity
aspects. Leaders are engaged in building confidence of employees; this can help them in making
organizations environment better. It assists in retaining employees.

Justification on chosen topic
Leadership in multinational company helps them to grow and increase the job satisfaction
level of employees. Good leaders are being involved in analysing the needs and demands of
employees which are really necessary for the growth of the firm (Huntrods, An and Pascarella,
2017). Leadership supports the business by motivating and influencing their employees so that
their morale can be build. They are also engaged in taking feedback from their workers about the
changes and strategies which has been used by them. This assists multinational company in
gaining success. It also helps the employees of firm in achieving their personal as well as
professional objectives. This can support in growth of company.
Limitation of study
There is various limitation of the study. The preparation of questionnaire took time which
can affect the data which has been collected by the researchers. The weakness of the study there
were various errors that were been made during the time of preparing the questionnaire. The
research was qualitative in nature so it was difficult to have control on the environment. There
were also some issues while doing the data analysis. All these are the limitations of the present
which can slightly affect the making of the research on subject matter.
Literature review
As per the view point of Komives and Wagner, (2016) leadership is really important in the
growth of multinational company. Good leaders are being engaged in analysing the issues and
problems faced by employees in firm and finding their ultimate solution. The leaders are really

creative, innovative and full of new ideas which helps the firm in growing and increasing their
profit as well as revenue. Leadership is also responsible for the development of multinational
company. It boosts the morale of employees that supports the firm in enhancing their business
performance. It assists in maximising the efficiency so that the goals and objectives of company
can be achieved. Leaders set the vision and also share it with their team members. There are
various leadership styles which can be followed by multinational company in order to grow.
Transformational leadership is that in which leaders are involved in increasing the motivation
level of employees so that they can enhance productivity and achieve the organizational goals.
The motivation can be increased by providing employees with rewards and incentives. In this the
leaders try to increase the morale of workers through creating their self-interest, engaging them
more in the firm. This assist in increasing the growth of multinational company and also this it
helps organization in increasing their profitability.
In accordance with Fulton and et.al., (2019) The other type of leadership which can be
used by firm is transformational. In this the leaders are being engaged in increasing the morale
through rewards and punishment. Employees are being rewarded when they did something right
and are also been punished for the wrong doing. Leaders also have the responsibility to delegate
the responsibilities, this make the employees of multi-national company responsible which is
really necessary for the growth of firm. It assists in increasing the good will and brand reputation
of company has they are being able to retain the employees. It also supports the organization in
achieving their set target and mission. It can be said that without effective leadership no firm can
work effectively. So leadership is really important in the multinational company.
Research methodology
Research methodologies termed out as strategies, processes and techniques that can be
utilised in collection of data and also aids to create better understanding about the topic. These
are defined in following manner as are-
Research type: There are basically two type of research which can be used by researcher
in order to gain more information related to the subject matter. One is qualitative and another one
is quantitative. Qualitative study is based on theoretical aspects and even the data is being
collected from the human experience. In this the data is been collected by the researcher through
open ended and main communication. It is easy to collect qualitative data. Quantitative study is

based on the numerical facts and figures. It means that the data which is gathered is quantifiable
in nature. For the present study qualitative study will be used by the researcher.
Research approach: It consist of the plan which help researchers in collecting and
analysing of data (Huertas-Valdivia, Gallego-Burín and Lloréns-Montes, 2019). There are two
type of research approaches that is inductive and deductive. Inductive is based on observations,
patterns and theory. It is based on the qualitative aspects while deductive is been based on
hypothesis, conformation or rejection. For the present study inductive approach will be used.
Research strategy: The research strategy consists of analysing, controlling and
monitoring the study (Fletcher, 2017). It assists in collection of the data. It helps researchers in
achieving the end results. For the present research descriptive design will be used. In this the
research is been made on the population which has already been studied. It forms a part of the
qualitative study. This design cannot provide information on the causes related to the study.
Data collection: There are basically two methods of gathering the information which is
primary and secondary. In the primary method of data collection, the data gathered is raw and
unpublished. It is basically the fresh data. In this the data can be collected with the help of
questionnaire, focus group, interview, observation method. The secondary method is basically
published data. In this the information is been collected through books, journals, articles,
company websites and blogs. For the present research primary data with the help of
questionnaire method will be used (Mohajan, 2018).
Sampling: For the present research simple random sampling will be used. This method is
being selected so that no biasness exists. In this the random employees will be selected for
process. The sample size will be 50 employees from multinational company.
Data analysis: This part summarises the collected data. In this part useful information is
been extracted from the collected data. For the present study thematic analysis will be used. It is
being used as the research is based on the qualitative study.

company in achieving their set target and mission. Leadership is also important in multinational
organization as leaders supports employees in solving the conflict. They motivate their sub-

by workers. It also helps company in retaining employees. Leaders are also engaged in providing
the employees with ultimate solutions to their problems as they possess problem solving skills.
