Introduction
Social media is the biggest platform that is used to communicate different thoughts, ideas
and information (Ahmad, 2016). In my opinion, the present era the social media is the biggest
boon in the development of the world yet the social media is a blend of the advantages and the
disadvantages and the following have been outlined below.
Advantages
Education and noble cause: From the point of view of education the social media caters the
needs as it has offered me and my friends a high quality of the conceptual learning along with
practical experience while making the assignments.
Connectivity: The social media connects the people from different parts of the world as it
connects the relatives living in different parts of the world over the sites like Facebook, Twitter
(Panahi, Watson & Partridge, 2016).
Disadvantages
Cyber bulling: According to my view the negative impact involves the rumors, fake messages
and discomfort which have been faced by one of my friends through text messages.
Addiction, Heath Issues and Death: One of my friend suffered from the stress issue and the
poor eye sight due to the consistent involvement with social media and this not only hampers the
health but also the work that are set at priority.

Conclusion
Therefore it can be concluded that every platform has both the sides just like that of a
coin and after considering the entire evaluation it can be concluded the social media has a
negative impact more than what is can produce in the form of the positive results. Hence social
media is becoming a curse, rather than a boon.
