AREA to COVER
1 Unit reading I have read - detail reference below at 7 [approximately 15 words]
WEEK ONE: (Garren & Brinkmann, 2018)
2 One Key definition/concept from the reading
That relate to the central unit topics such as systems thinking, socio-ecological systems and resilience [approximately 30-50 words]
Garren and Brinkmann (2018) discussed the different aspects of the sustainable development (Garren, & Brinkmann, 2018). The key important aspects include economy,
environment and social equity. However, the recent economic growth hardly supports the sustainability concept. In this regard, the core objective of this paper is to guide
the economy to overcome challenges related to the sustainable growth.
3 Evidence from credible sources that provide examples of the concept/term
My analysis and judgement of the evidence provided (critical thinking) [approximately 30-80 words]
Since the beginning of the UNCED (1992), several programs have been developed to ensure the viable consumption of the ecological resources. Thousands of experts have
been striving to conserve the ecological diversity through continuous experimental assessments and stringent laws. As of the twenty first century, UNFCCC, IPCC, MDGs
and UN’s sustainability goals (SDGs) are the data driven sustainable strategies. The SDG framework is constructed to rank the hundred global cities in terms of their
sustainable depletion of the environmental resources.
4 Tutorial/online engagement -
a. Discussions in the unit that I started or participated in and new knowledge I have gained from them in relation to the reading/s AND/OR
b. Concepts or ideas that I was not sure of and for which I sought clarification from tutor/peers [approximately 30-50 words for a and/or b]
I did not understand well the functions of the United Nations Earth Summit 1997 regarding the missing link between the poverty and sustainable goal. However, I have
gained a dimensional knowledge regarding the importance of the sustainable growth (Kalafatis, 2018). A national assessment in terms of the technical and financial
efficiency is assessed as a part of the sustainable goal.
5 Examples of connections:
Between readings/concepts and your knowledge of situations/events that have occurred in your region within Australia or overseas [approximately 50 words]
The comprehensive goal discussed by Merriam-Webster recalls the devastating loss of the non-renewable resources in Australia. Recently, a world’s renowned mining
company, Adani has been asked to close its operation on the wake of evolving concern for the environmentalists.
6 Possible ideas for my choice of major project drawing on readings, lectures and tutorials [approximately 30 words]
According to me, the excessive extraction of the non-renewable resources, like, minerals and coals triggers a great challenge to the ecological balance for both the aquatic
plants and animals. A holistic initiative is required to undermine the viable challenges against the nature.

WEEK TWO: (Kim, 1999)
2 One Key definition/concept from the reading
That relate to the central unit topics such as systems thinking, socio-ecological systems and resilience [approximately 30-50 words]
Kim attained to explain how the idea of system –thinking has been evolved in the society as well as in the technology (Kim, 1999). Systematic analysis complements the
analytical thinking to enhance the quality of lives. In the face of growing changes, systematic approach is considered as the most recommendable step for any kind of
organization.
3 Evidence from credible sources that provide examples of the concept/term
My analysis and judgement of the evidence provided (critical thinking) [approximately 30-80 words]
According to me, the organization failure of FitCo is the great example to understand the significant aspects of the systematic thinking. Low production capability with
respect to the growing demand results in the deterioration of product quality.

b. Concepts or ideas that I was not sure of and for which I sought clarification from tutor/peers [approximately 30-50 words for a and/or b]
The directional preference of the systematic approach is not clear to me. The systematic approach is certainly a complicated approach. Therefore, a policymakers needs to
identify the important factors as per the market situation. Through this application, the delay in quality changes is possible to overcome without external intervention.
5 Examples of connections:
Between readings/concepts and your knowledge of situations/events that have occurred in your region within Australia or overseas [approximately 50 words]
The product development program by the manager of DevWare is the great example in the support of the system thinking. with the help of the management attention, a
number of unresolved problem has been reported to get solved (Wei, Wei & Western, 2017). As a consequence of that, the company has experienced an impressive growth
in the production level.
6 Possible ideas for my choice of major project drawing on readings, lectures and tutorials [approximately 30 words]
From the article, it can be inferred that systematic approach combined with the continuous reviewing process accelerates the company’s growth. In this case, the effective
role of the management mitigates the gap between the product supply and demand for the company.
