Introduction
Since a few years, it has been seen that visitors from China are coming UK to visit the nation very
frequently and in high number. This is significantly helping the economy of United Kingdom to grow at a
fast pace by earning higher revenues from the same. Tourists coming from China are spending a high
amount on availing the tourism services with which industry is earning higher profits. It has been
researched that China is contributing around £500 million to the economy of UK by visiting the country.
Therefore, with the same, along with gaining profits, many employment opportunities are gained by
people residing in the UK.

2.1 Analysing the function of government, government sponsored
bodies and international agencies in travel and tourism
If tourism industry is earning attractive profits, then it is responsible for providing necessary benefits to
the tourists. In travel and tourism sector of UK, government is playing a crucial role which can be stated
like:
 Formulating national policies with respect to tourism development
 Investing a good amount in the facilities for growth in travel and tourism sector
 Promoting nation for the purpose of rising tourism
