PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Introduction
The following study will be based on the determination of the strategic plans that will
help the management of the different kinds of the engineering firms in the presence of a
highly turbulent environment. The major purpose of the following assignment is to explore
the different domains of the turbulence scenario and moderate the relationship between the
strategic information systems and the performance of the engineering firms. The turbulence
scenario in the modern competitive market is a major cause of concern for the different kinds
of the business organizations. It is important for the organization to explore the different
domains of the turbulent scenario of the organization in a strong manner. The exploration of
the following area can help in the success of the business in the most modern manner. The
research has taken the example of ADCO Construction which has helped in the development
of the study in a much better manner (adcoconstruct.com.au, 2019). The strategic information
systems are used in an extensive manner by the management of the companies that can help
in the success of the business in a structured manner. The strategic information system helps
the organization to overcome the challenges presented in the turbulent environment. The
turbulent nature needs to be addressed by the organization in a systematic manner with the
use of the strategic information system of the business organizations.
Brief Statement of the Problem
According to, Chuang & Lin (2017) the management of the business organizations
present different kinds of the business strategies in accordance with the conditions of the
market. Innovation is termed as one of the most important areas that helps any of the different
business firms to attain the necessary sustainability in the highly competitive and turbulent
market. However, the radical and uncontrolled use of the innovative measures has led to a
huge problem. The rush for supremacy has led to innovation being a messy process with most

of them built on a weak base (Do, Budhwar & Patel, 2018). The research will address the
following problem and will present the best strategy to answer such issues.
Research aim and objectives
The aim of the research is to identify the issues faced by the different engineering
firms while the implementation of the strategic plans. The research also aims to find out and
present the best solutions that can be the best answer to such issues.
The objectives of the research are as follows;
a. Identification of the issues during the implementation of the business strategy
b. Identification of the best form of innovation needed by the management of the
engineering companies
c. To plan a new strategy that will be helpful for the management of the business to
present the best innovation process
Justification and Potential Output of the Research
The following research on the development of new innovation process through the use
of the strategic information is sure to develop the necessary results that are important for the
success of the business houses especially ADCO Corporation in a turbulent market like that
of Australia.
Scope of the study
The study will involve the study of the strategic management of the engineering firms
especially the ones which heavily invests in the market. The study will be identify the

The management of the companies tend to develop a number of different kinds of
specific abilities and competencies that are capable of formulating the technological
strategies necessary for the incremental innovations. These innovations are attained through
the means of exploration and exploitation of the available resources. The strategic

information system forms a major part in this special quest. The exploitative nature of the
business organizations will help in the success of the business organizations in a better
manner. The moderating relationship present in between the innovation and the performance
of the organization is one of the most important elements of the organization. The use of the
strategic information system is highly essential for the strategic planning of the organization
and helps the organization to survive in a harsh and turbulent environment. Thus it can be
said that the organizational performance is dependent on the successful implementation of the
strategic information system. The financial system will need the inclusion of all these items
to improve the performance of the organization.
Methodology
The research methodology is one of the important areas of the research as his
selection of the right research methods will serve as the key to the success of the research.
The research will be providing a secondary analysis to come to the conclusion. The use of the
secondary research sources will naturally make the research more trustable and genuine. The
use of the positivism philosophical stance and descriptive research design will make the
research more interesting and compact in nature (Kumar, 2019). The selection of the
secondary research data will further help the research to critically review and analyse the
research data in the most appropriate manner. The research will be using the qualitative
source of data as the use of the qualitative source of data can be best suited for the collection
of information and analysis of the research based on the secondary sources of qualitative
research results.
Research Approach and justification
Research approach is one of the most important area of the research methodology.
The selection of the proper approach to the research can help in the achievement of the best

results. The achievement of the best results are important for the success of the research in
the most efficient manner. There are basically two different types of research approaches
which are generally important for the achievements of the research objectives (Taylor,
Bogdan & DeVault, 2015). Inductive and deductive research approaches are two of the most
important and most widely used research approaches. The two of the different approaches are
totally different from each other as each of the different research approaches have different
aspects. The deductive research approach is used to formulate a hypothesis with the help of
the existing frameworks, concepts and theories. The secondary sources like research articles,
papers, and online articles are used to collect the information for forming a research
hypothesis (Kumar, 2019). The deductive research approach makes the research to observe
the different perspectives and elements related to the research and formulate the hypothesis.
On the other hand, the choice of the inductive research approach leads to the formulation of
the hypothesis after constructing concepts and frameworks related to the research topic. The
inductive approach of the research leads to the formulation of new theories and concepts. The
research approach thus either depends on observation or on the description of the analysis
section of the research topic chosen.
The research has chosen here the use of the deductive research approach. The choice
of the deductive research approach has been finalized after a detailed research on the same
topic in a detailed manner. Deductive research has been selected for the research because of a
number of different reasons. The selection of the deductive research is highly justified as
because it supports the use of the positivism philosophy (Taylor, Bogdan & DeVault, 2015).
The use of the deductive research approach helps to easily test the hypothesis and also helps
to easily collect the perfect research information sources that are needed for the success of the
research. The deductive research is a highly justified section as because it helps the research
to take less time and complete the entire assessment and analysis within a limited budget. The

use of the secondary sources of data helps to avoid the creation of new concepts and theories
which can lead to the loss of time and finance. Therefore the section of the deductive
approach for the particular research is highly justified in nature.
Research Design and Justification
Research design is also one of the most important research methodology tools that are
used in the research. The research design helps to organize and arrange the research study in
a structured and systematic manner. The three most used research design tools are
exploratory, explanatory and descriptive research design. The three different research designs
are totally different in nature and are equally important. The explanatory research design is
used to gain an idea of any kinds of particular happening (Kumar, 2019). The future
occurrences of a particular happening can be easily predicted which helps in the success of
the research. In case of the exploratory design of the research the special feature is the testing
of a particular hypothesis. The testing of the hypothesis helps to answer the research
questions and answer in a systematic manner. Last but not the least in any particular way, the
use of the descriptive research design is basically a combination of the features of the
exploratory and explanatory research design. The presence of both these characteristics
makes the particular design the most preferred one among the total of the three designs
(Mackey & Gass, 2015). Thus three of these designs are equally important and provide a
transparent and clear way to the research for its success.
The selection of the research design for this particular research has involved a major
selection. After all the considerations, the descriptive research design has been selected for
this particular research. The descriptive research design has been selected as because it suits
all the different criterions of the research. The very first criterion that the research suits is the
capability it provides the research to easily formulate the hypothesis related to the innovative
practices and the strategic informative source for the research. The rationale of the research

can also be assessed accordingly while researching on the same topic. This opportunity has
been provided by the descriptive research design and thus, descriptive research design which
ensures success.
Sources of Secondary Data
The research will be totally based on a secondary analysis as the sources of the data
will be the earlier research articles, journals, news articles and similar research papers based
on the study of the innovative practices undertaken by the management of the engineering
companies in times of huge competition and turbulence in the business market (Mackey &
Gass, 2015). The major sources of the secondary data has been the different reports based on
the engineering companies of Australia and the research articles that depicts the different
practices supported by the use of the strategic informative sources. The theories and concepts
related to these researches have also been used extensively to ensure that the objectives have
been met. The secondary data collection methods are the most trusted ones and thus the data
collected from the articles, journals and online sources and used in the research guarantees
the success of the business in the most efficient manner.
Data presentation
The use of the secondary data is highly supported and suitable for the research as the
secondary data will help analyse the current completion and turbulence in the market. Apart
from this the research will also help to gain a strategic understanding of the practical times.
The citation of the earlier researches will help gain a clear understanding of the turbulent
times of the market and will thus help the research to include more informative content.
Data Analysis
The data which will be collected from all the secondary sources must be analysed
through the
