Introduction
The following research proposal will be on the reasons behind the economic miracle that
Vietnam had shown to the world. The most important and valid reason for this event might be
the long running war between Vietnam and America that ended in the year 1975. This war had
changed the entire complexion of Vietnam completely.1
Literature Review
Prior to beginning this paper, it must be mentioned that Vietnam was one of the countries
that had accepted the socialist and communist ideologies propagated by the Soviet Union and
Vladimir Lenin during the 1920s. The situation was gradually beginning to change and the
influence of the Americans was slowly beginning to grasp over the people of Vietnam. They had
completely failed in their economic performance and their productivity in the overall concept
had dropped down completely. 2
Amidst all these situations, it should always be kept under consideration that the
influence of the United States had helped the country a lot to increase its productivity and its
GDP rate also. During the 20 year running war with the United States, the economy of Vietnam
was regarded as the poorest during that time among all the countries. The critics of economy
believed that the situation began to turn when they turned into a pro-USA country. The
