2THE VOIP SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION
1. Introduction:
The VOIP services transforms the voice of the user into the digital format/signal. This
signal travels through the network or internet. In order to implement the VOIP system, a
broadband connection is essential. (Laudon and Laudon 2016). The VOIP system is capable of
saving capital for the organization as well as increasing convenience of communication. The
VOIP system can allow the organization for conducting videoconference calling for Home Away
from Home environment. The management can make use of this feature for communicating more
pruriently.
This assignment is consisting of information and analysis on the information regarding
the VOIP system implementation at Home-Away-From- Home. The assignment provides
detailed description of the VOIP system requirements, as per site also along with VOIP system
implementation details. The implementation of the VOIP system in Home-Away-From- Home
will be done by connecting the telecommunication medium to the core system. This way the data
collection and customer relationship management process can be enhanced.
2. VOIP system Description:
2.1 Outline of VOIP system Components and Deliverables:
Detailed Description of the System: The organization be implementing the VOIP system
for connecting various parts of the organization. The communication enhancement will be the
primary purpose of this system. Encryption security measures will be implemented into the
organizational environment so that data transmitted through the system cannot be read by the
cyber criminals even if the data is theft (Enck et al. 2014). The system will be connected to the
main database of the organization. An instance will be saved for the recording of data transmitted

through the VIOP system path. Not all the data will be saved in the database, only the mail and
chat related data will be stored. The hardware firewalls will be used within VOIP system for
better protection. The intranet communication medium will be established through the LAN or
Local Area Network. The VOIP system will connecting the computers of the hotels so that
communication among the devices can be done free of cost.
The components of the System: The VOIP system will be consisting of the following
components.
1) Gateway: Signaling Gateway Controller and Media Gateway are the two
components of VOIP system that are considered as the gateway. The Signaling
Gateway Controller can be referred to as the “called agent”. It is also equipped
with the media gateway control function. It provides support to the signaling
system 7 protocol stack as well as capable of generating call detailed records. The
media gateway on the other hand is responsible for voice packet transmission
through the use of RTP transmission protocol. It is also known for its support to
MGCP.
2) Server: In terms of using the features like voice mail and video conference (like
the case of Home Away from Home), the media server is required. The media
server is responsible for call progress tones transmission of and announcements of
special service, functionality maintenance of voicemail, voice activated dialing
and many more. Next comes the application server which is very important for the
organization. The major responsibility of an Application Server is to provide
value-added services to the IP network. Global and customer specific services are
through the VIOP system path. Not all the data will be saved in the database, only the mail and

the application server.
3) Hardware: The firewall will be installed at the core system. Magnetic tapes will
be used for storage (Myamoto et al. 2016). The network printers will be used in
each of the hotels. The servers will be hardware based. Wires and routers. Analog
telephone adaptor or ATA will be used for connecting the standard phone device
to the computer device through the internet connection or internal network. The
ATA is referred to as the analog to digital converter. The IP phones will be
equipped with RJ 45 Ethernet connector instead of RJ 11 phone connector (used
in normal telephone devices). The IP phones will be connected directly to the
routers of the WIFI System.
4) Software: The VOIP system will be using website and application for
communicating with the customers. The security applications will be used in the
computer systems. The VOIP system will be using various patches for updating
the VOIP system capability. Each and every computer in the organization will be
installed with windows 10 operating system. The software will be improved for
accessing the data store and retrieval. The bugs in the current application will be
recognized and removed.
5) Network: The intranet and extranet will be used for connecting the hotel
appliances and other hotels respectively. The internet will be established through
the use of LAN. The WIFI System of the organization will be improved for
making the connection among the internal devices better. Most of the cases the
wired connection will be used so that data breach can be prevented (Ferro and

Database Developer: The database developer will be designing and developing the
database of the system. The database developer must have the skills like extremely developed
organizational skills, team working, great communication skills, critical problem solving skills,
moral strength and many more.
Coder: The coder, programs the system and develops the VOIP system units. The coder
must have the skills like coding, system analysis, critical thinking and many more.

Programming organizations want to have an assortment of identity sorts inside their
product testing group. The best mixes might be guaranteed on occasion of enrolling. Regardless
of the possibility that that is unrealistic, information of specific examples of conduct can enable
us to upgrade the group we are working with.
5. Performance Monitoring:
1) Compare usage endeavors with unique objectives and targets,
2) Determine whether adequate advance is being made toward accomplishing
expected outcomes,
3) Determine whether the time plan is watched.
Observing is not an "occasion" that happens toward the finish of an administration cycle,
yet rather is a continuous procedure that encourages leaders to better comprehend the adequacy
of the activity or framework. A compelling observing and assessment program requires gathering
and examining vital information on an intermittent premise all through the administration cycle
of an undertaking (Costa et al. 2013). This procedure regularly includes gathering gauge
information on existing conditions, providing details regarding progress toward
ecological/manageability enhancements, making associations amongst activities and planned
results, and rolling out mid-course improvements in program outline.

IMS (Angulo et al. 2017). The obligation of proper utilization of the checking framework lies
with the dependable people/associations/experts appointed to this action and needs to take after
the announcing obligations as illustrated amid the "authoritative setup" stage.
6. Back-Off Plan:
The VOIP system data will be stored in a back-up/restore system.
Database backup:
1) On the server that is running SQL Server Management Studio, start up SQL
Server Management Studio
2) Sign in with a client that approaches the MSCRM_CONFIG and related databases
3) Extend the databases (Muthalagu 2016)
4) Right snap and select Tasks - > Backup
5) On the screen that shows up, confirm that the chose database is right
6) Under goal, it will default to the default reinforcement organizer set amid the
introduce of SQL
Restore Database Backup:
1) There are numerous approaches to move association's database reinforcement, the
most effortless of which is to delineate drives and move the reinforcement starting
with one Virtual Machine then onto the next
2) Our best practice is to drop the reinforcement in the SQL Backup organizer

7) The area will default to the Backup area determined amid SQL setup. In the event
that this is not where association reserved association's reinforcement, explore to
where association put away it and select it
7. Post Implementation Plan:
The users will submit reports to the department heads. If any issue occurs then the VOIP
system will be analyzed and repaired. If any big issues occurs then the whole VOIP system will
be shut down and proper action will be taken (Ram, Corkindale and Wu 2013). The technical
head will make a report of the issues faced in post implementation stage. The connection
between the network printers and main server is secured. The data access software will be
allowing only the authorized users to access the database. This will lead to less data breach. The
WIFI system will be efficient to connect the devices even if one router is damaged or disabled.
