ABSTRACT
For the Australia’s aboriginal and
Torres strait islander people, good
health is the terms of holistic. This
includes factors such as the
social, cultural, physical,
emotional , ecological wellbeing
for the entire community and also
for the individual.
Aboriginals residing in the rural
part of the country of Australia
experiences some of the wide
spread range of socio economic
disadvantages and higher rates of
health inequalities. While there
has been various of the aspects
related to the improvement of
indigenous health, challenges still
exists.

There lies a deep connection
among the social determinants
and self assessed health among
the aboriginals and Torres Strait
Islander population.

There lies a wide range of issues and challenges related to
health that impacts the population.
One of the major health issue that impacts the aboriginal
population is the mental health illness (Killian et al., 2016).
One of the major health outcomes among the population is high
death rate
Community of people are more
vulnerable to mental health issues,
diabetes, cardiovascular challenges
and chronic level of kidney diseases.
Wide use of alcohol, tobacco and the
other illicit substances are some of
notable among the community
people
Cultural diversities and lack of
access to proper health care
functions and medicines
Rising level of health gap and
vulnerabilities faced by the
aboriginal Australians (D'Aprano et
al., 2016).
To summarize some of the major
challenges contributing to the rate of
vulnerabilities of Aboriginals are:

Disadvantages currently contributed to
scarce rate of economic opportunities, low
rate of literacy, high unemployment and
community resources.
