Introduction:
Human resources are the key asset in an organisation, based on which the degree of
productivity and profitability is determined (Hamburg and Collins, 2010). The aim of this
paper is to evaluate the article namely Effective Training in the Workplace: The
Importance of Learning Style Inventories by Dr Amy Wyland. The structure of the
argument of Dr Amy Wyland will also be presented in this paper.
Review of the article:
In the context of an organisation, the human resources play a pivotal role in order to
improving the organisational productivity and thereby strengthen the public image of the
company in the hard-core competitive business environment. In the article, Dr Amy Wyland
has showed how the organisations can implement effective training program for the sake of
improving the degree of productivity of the staffs. In addition to that, Dr Amy Wyland has
also showed the importance of integrating learning style intervention in the employee training
program (Buch and Bartley 2002). It is important to note in this context that assessing the
learning style of the staffs is the matter of greatest significance in terms of analysing the
different preferences of the people. In the article, Dr Amy Wyland offered advice to the
college students in order to practice the standardise process.
Here the author has showed the fact that the main aim of the students should be
adopting effective learning style of the researcher rather than go through a case properly and
get good score in the academics. There is one controversial question in the article which is
Will this be on the exam?” This question raises many issues and generate negative vive
among the teachers who put consistent effort in order to appreciate the performance of the
staffs. However, in the article, the author has also showed how the style of teachers play a
critical role in order to improve the learning outcomes of the students. In the context of the
