Mayer Timber NSW Office construction
Mayer Timber NSW Office is a commercial project which is located in Sydney Australia.it
was constructed 9th – 11th September 2015.The project was constructed to test the innovative
on new timber based prefabricated building system. The construction of the entire shell of the
building took two and half days.
This project confirmed that timber has the ability to be used as the primary structural material
for both the mid-rise and multi-residential and commercial buildings. The excellent use of
timber created room for the architects to be able to create large span and double height spaces
by use of beautiful sculptured wood columns and beams (Thelandersson, 2011, p. 148).
Analysis which was carried out on this project proved that timber can be to achieve green
design and offer precise and fast pre-fabrication with the cost benefits over conventional
construction. In this project timber accounted up to 85% of the construction material which
included: exterior cladding, finished walls, structural beams and columns. The project was
finally seen as light weight building with high qualities which was constructed within a short

Corporate office Penrith
The project which is a commercial building is located at Penrith, Australia. The entire project
as constructed in three and a half days. Timber Building system installed 1,000m2 this
corporate office in Penrith, the office is entirely integrated into the pre-cast face of 20000m2
ware house, The Timber System has the ability to be flexible so as to permit incorporation of
structures into the existing structures easily without any challenge (Rumbarger, 2014, p. 65).
The project which was constructed came out as a nice beautiful liveable timber building
which can be used in the areas which were initially used by buildings constructed by
concreate. After the analysis of the building it was concluded that the construction by use of
timber as the main construction material has many benefits as compared to the traditional
construction methods and materials. It is very clear that the construction process fast as
compared to the use of other materials which need a lot of labour to handle and a lot of time
to harden.

Toorak Road, South Yarra
The project involved installing two luxury apartments onto the top of the shopping arcade
which was existing in Toorak road, South Yarra. The entire project was to be constructed in a
few days. That meant that the landlord was not going to relocate or end the lease with any of
the tenants. The structure will not require a lot of reinforcing that again shows that the tenants
will not be disrupted by the construction works.
