INTRODUCTION
Management of time may be referred as ability of an individual to plan as well as practice
conscious of time which is spent on particular work in order to enhance productivity (Wolters
and Brady, 2021). It is imperative for students to manage their time with other activities so that
they can become more productive and efficient. By proper managing time, students can achieve
success as it facilitates in prioritising task that ensures that they have adequate time to complete
specific project or task. Understanding it in a proper manner, it ends up completing in a smarter
way. It is crucial for students to utilise their precious time in activities which makes them more
productive. This project report will cover importance of time management for student’s along
with proper reasoning.

Managing time facilitates students in achieving success by working smarter not harder. It also
leads to more work done in less time along with capturing more opportunities. Time
management can be defined as better usage of time by allocating adequate slots of time to
complete a task or project. It is important for students to manage their time in such a manner that
it yields more productivity. It helps students in allocating time for each activity, by this they can
achieve higher success in shorter period of time. This approach is crucial for students as it helps
in balancing studies with other activities. Importance of time management for students are
discussed below.
 First step in success- Students can achieve success if they have knowledge how to
optimally use their time in various activities. It is well said that if a student is not capable
of managing time, then he would not be able to other parts of life. Effective management
helps students in providing mechanism of utilisation of time in a proper manner (Kuang-
Tsan, and Fu-Yuan, 2017). In addition to that, it will contribute in attainment of both
personal and academic goals. Time management act as a ladder in success of every
student. By mastering the art of time management, it becomes easier for students to
handle all project or task in order to promote self-development.

 Setting up of priority- Time management plays crucial role in success of students as it
facilitates in setting up of priorities which needs to be accomplished as per their rating.
This will help students in completing important work within time frame period and
prevents from delay. It is highly opted by many students and they can achieve higher
success by prioritising their activity. Time management also assist in ensuring task which
are significantly crucial or not urgent, which include personal devotions. Students who
prioritise their work on daily basis can boost their productivity along with enhanced
performance.
 Facilitates better work life balance- Effective management of time facilitates in making
work life balance in a well-mannered. Along with this, it helps students in becoming
more productive and can spend more time on other important activities. Work life
balance facilitates in creating an effective balance between personal and professional life
(Ruiz-Gallardo, González-Geraldo and Castaño, 2016. ). It is due to when an individual
spends lots of time at work, they may be fatigue and may face risk of burnout. Effective
time management helps students in better understanding of value of time. It creates a path
for students towards success and may accomplish both personal and professional goals.
Thus, in this manner it facilitates in developing better work life balance.
 Greater emphasis- Effective utilisation of time facilitates in enhancing performance as
well as promotes self-development. It also helps in capturing new opportunities as well as
promotes in spending more time on academic goals. Effective time management focus on
making individual productivity as it allows in managing time to accomplish provided task
or project. By this, students can expand their do list and can emphasize on activities
which enhance their skills. It is imperative to effectively use time so that it can contribute
in fulfilment of personal and professional objectives.
 Higher productivity level – effective time management facilitates in enhancing
productivity of students and assist them to get more done. In addition to that, it reduces
stress level by prioritising important activity. As a result, they have huge time to
accomplish bigger task. Student who can manage their time, are capable to pan their day
along with increased productivity. To formulate day to day planning, it contributes in
increased productivity and effectiveness in academics (Dembo and Seli, 2016).

For students, effective time management plays crucial role in achieving success in
their academics. It can lead to height of successful as well as makes them more
productive. It is imperative for students to manage their time in an effective
manner that it supports in accomplishment of organisational goals. When a
student feels busy, less productive as well as have wish to have more time, then it
is needed to manage their time which can help in achieving success in academics.

From the above project report, it was concluded that time management is important in
student’s life as it allows in managing activities of academics as well as of personal life. It is
needed to manage time with other activities that it contributes in achieving success. There are
numerous benefits of managing time and plays crucial role in student’s life. Thus, it becomes
important to focus on activities which makes students more productive. In addition to that,
student can prioritise their work and can manage their activities accordingly. By managing time
effectively and efficiently, students can be made more productive in their respective work. There
are numerous activities that learners can capture by proper utilisation of time.
