TO INVESTIGATE ON THE
STRATEGIES OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN preventing
BREAST CANCER AGED 25-45

Abstract
This present study shows roles of strategies of the government in preventing breast
cancer which is the most important in order to improve health of women and increasing life
expectancy. This study will also discuss some factors which are associated with breast cancer in
order to provide better healthcare services to women and preventing them against breast cancer
problems. There is an increasing rate of breast cancer among 25-45 age group of women. Further
this study will also discuss all those factors which women can control and protect themselves
against this disease such as consumption of alcohol, smoking and exercising, taking healthy diet
etc. One of the main aim of developing this study is “To investigate strategies of the
government in handling breast cancer aged 25-45”. Some objectives related to this which can
help in accomplishing the main aim include:
To examine prevalence of breast cancer in Haringey.
To explore factors associated to breast cancer.
To investigate health implications of breast cancer.
To critically discuss the effectiveness of government strategies on preventing breast
cancer.
This study has used qualitative research method for collecting data in the form of non-
numerical as per the suitability of the topic. This method allows researcher in collecting
informations relate to the main topic and making the study successful.
It will also use qualitative data analysis for making changes and analysing all gathered
informations in order to take decision and for collecting effective data, it will also make an
effective use of both primary and secondary data collection. With the help of questionnaire

Topic- To investigate on the role of strategies of the government in preventing breast
cancer aged 25-45. A study on United Kingdom.
Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION
Breast cancer is a type of cancer that forms in the cells of the breasts. It can be said that it
is a common and increasing disease in women in the UK. If it is diagnosed in early stage that it
can be cured otherwise it leads to deaths. Nowadays there are several supports has been provided
for awaring people about breast cancer and its symptoms as well. It is also stated with increasing
awareness and governmental strategies, cancer survival rate is increased and number of deaths
associated with is declined (Sammut, de Matos Arruda and Caldas, 2019). There are some
symptoms by which, people can identify this disease such as: Changes in the size and shape of
breasts, changes in skin of breast, thickening of breast, peeling, scaling and flaking, redness of
breast skin etc. It is also stated that breast cancer is the second leading reason of cancer death in
women. There are several types of breast cancer such as: lobular carcinoma in situ, invasive
ductal carcinoma etc. There is a severe and rare type of cancer that makes up approximate and
only between 1-5& of all breast cancer and it is known as inflammatory breast cancer. There are
some risk factors and reasons of breast cancer in female such as: lack of physical exercise,
obesity, consumption of alcohol, older age etc. All these factors need to be identified at an early
stage otherwise it may lead to death. There are several interventions and programmes related to
preventing breast cancer is being developed by the government which also are playing an
important role.
1. Project Background
This present research is mainly based on breast cancer. This study is going to show some
factors which are associated with breast cancer as well as some reasons which become reason of
breast cancer specially in women (Morris, 2019). It will also show total numbers of affected
people to breast cancer as well as death and survival rate of breast cancer patient in Haringey. It
can be said that breast screening services in Haringey are provided via North London Breast
Screening services. This disease is accounted for approximate 31% of all female cancers which
is considered the most common cause of cancer among women in the UK. In the context of risk
factor the main risk factor which is being identified is age. In these regards to, it is stated that
approximate 80% of breast cancer in women occur after the age of 50. Childbearing, family
history, overweight are some reasons identified which is becoming the main reason of increasing

rate of breast cancer in women in the UK and in Haringey. It will also show importance of
research methodology and data collection steps by which researcher gets relevant informations to
the topic. By following all steps of research methodologies, data collection and analysis, aim of
this research can be accomplished. Further this study will also show importance of secondary
data collection and analysis like literature review and questionnaire for gathering reliable data.
Research problem
It is stated that breast cancer is the fastest growing disease which need to be solved
because most of the time it leads death. In developing countries such as UK, it is considered one
of the main problem in women. The main research problem is to getting relevant data and
statistic by which we can identify that how increasingly it is growing as well as strategies for
solving it. So, the main aim of conducting this research is to get data related to breast cancer for
protecting women from this disease. Lack of research skill is other problem of this research and
it is considered one of the main problem because research can be developed only when if it has
enough reliable and accurate data. Reliable and relevant data can be gathered when an individual
has an effective research ability, enough finance as well as skilled workforce.
2. Project Rationale
The main aim of selecting this topic is to make people aware about this disease and main
factors which become the reason of breast cancer in women. By developing this research and
collecting informations regarding the topic, women can be aware. Other main aim of conducting
research on this topic is to identify strategies and policies developed by the government for
making an effective use of them and reducing death rate. By making an effective use of all
strategies and identifying reason survival rate of women suffering from breast cancer be
improved. Other important aim of conducting this research is to make all people aware about
effectiveness of governmental interventions and prevent women against breast cancer at an early
stage because lack of awareness can lead to death.
3. Aims and objectives
Aim- “To investigate strategies of the government in handling breast cancer aged 25-45. A study
on United Kingdom”.
Objectives:
To examine prevalence of breast cancer in Haringey.
To explore factors associated to breast cancer.

To investigate health implications of breast cancer.
To critically discuss the effectiveness of government strategies on preventing breast
cancer.
Accomplishing all these objectives is important for researcher because by accomplishing
all objectives, they can fulfil the main aim of conducting this research. For accomplishing all
described objectives, researcher will require getting answers of all research question and solving
the main research problem.
Research Questions
What is the prevalence of breast cancer in Haringey?
What are some factors associated to breast cancer?
How to investigate health implications of breast cancer?
What are some importance or effectiveness of government strategies about preventing
breast cancer.
Significance
In the context of breast cancer, it can be said that it is important for people to have
knowledge as well as awareness in order to detect problem at early stage and prevent women.
With the help of getting informations and making own-self aware about breast cancer we can
know that how cancer grows, starts and spreads (Werk, Hill and Graber, 2017). So, it is the main
importance of this research is to detect this disease in early stage and making our-self healthy. It
is also identified that by having informations and awareness patients are experiencing better
outcomes as a result of early diagnosis.
CHAPTER 2: RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
1. Introduction
Research methodology is an effective as well as specific process of identifying, selecting
and analysing all relevant information about a topic. In the development of research about a
specific topic, research methodology allow researcher to evaluate study's effectiveness as well as
validity in order to accomplish its pre determined goals and make the study successful (Kumar,
2019). In the research methodology, researcher study all methods, types, approaches which are
available and select the best one after identifying its positive and negative impacts on the
performance. Selection of all element of research also depend on about the nature of the topic.
