To, The Chief Secretary of Bio Security, Fiji islands,Date: Subject: Expansion of business of dairy products of Netherlands to Fiji islands Dear Sir, I am the director of an FMCG company in Australia. I want to propose a business deal to you. I want to introduce dairy products to Fiji islands. Australia and New Zealand import dairy products for their countries from Netherlands. Dairy product is banned in Fiji Islands and there is no pathway of dairy products to Fiji Islands. Netherlands, on the other hand is the most productive and a rich country, with history of being the export leader globally. The largest share in the economy of Netherlands is occupied by the processed food sector. Out of all other sectors, dairy sector is intensely export-oriented and the top most productive sector. This productivity is because of neighborhood and domestic competition (Gelici‐Zeko, 2013). The products have very high demand in the market of Netherlands and outside. Technological innovation is exclusivity for the production of the dairy products in Netherlands. High regulatory principles play a vital role in the production of the dairy products. Skilled workforce is appointed for the making of dairy products. Cost of labor and the raw materials are cheap, thus the cost of the dairy products are also cheap which will attract the low-end customers of Fiji islands (Van Dijk, Schukking & Van der Berg, 2015). The dairy products include consumer milk, yogurt, condensed milk, cheese, ice cream and dried milk (powdered milk). The different processes of making these products are homogenization, chilling and pasteurization. Milk produced from cow milk are processed and distributed in different forms. Another essential reason for the growth of this market is the natural milk (Bijman, 2018). The producers when allow the cows to pasture for more than 6 hours per day, which is 120 days per year, an additional of 0.01 dollar per liter of milk is produced. Every month,

1 the LTO international price of milk is published atwww.milkprices.nl.Prices of milk- product are not constant and fluctuate on a daily basis. Milk production annually amounts to 1.3 million tons and the value of export is 6.4 billion dollar. Whereas the living cost in Fiji islands is moderate. Thus, the dairy products from Netherlands will be affordable for most of the people of Fiji islands. Economic freedom in the Fiji islands is 62.2. The overall score has increased. Fiji islands are also growing rapidly in import and export. Thus, it will provide huge opportunity to Netherlands to export its dairy products to Fiji islands. Milk-products need to be customized, according to the taste and affordability of the customers of Fiji islands (Naidu, & Chand, 2013). The export sector of Netherland is growing and the business ties with of Netherlands with Fiji islands will mark the change in the economy of both the countries and in turn affect the market share of both the countries. Thus, I would request you to consider the proposal and understand the benefits of it. I would be highly obliged if the proposal is taken seriously. Waiting for a positive revert.
