and is happy to pay you what you want (so you will of course add that
in to your costing). However she warns that you must succeed and will
“never work in this town again if it goes wrong”. The stakes are high!
Between you and the CEO you agree to do the following:
1. Detail the business case, since it is currently quite general. You
agree but realise you will need to do research on the electronic
products and the technologies you are dealing with.
2. You will plan the details of the project. You are allowed to choose its

Note: the lecturer mark is where the lecturer can reward effort,
contribution and leadership capacity on an individualised basis, however,
all students have the capacity to receive full marks on this component of
the assessment if s/he has proved a superior contribution to the group
functioning.
As this is an assessable task you need to understand/follow the
instructions:
1. These evaluation forms are confidentialand enable the lecturer to get an
insight into how well the team/group process functioned and to track your
contribution. Fill out this evaluation on yourself and your group members
(peers) honestly and submit to the blackboard Peer Evaluation, as well
make sure to submit with the same document your draft notes/resources
as PDF.
2. Ensure to put your name on the Self/Peer Evaluation Schedule (A)
and your pair members’ name on the Self/Peer Evaluation
Schedule (B).
3. Your Lecturer will read your group’s work and identify how well the pair
functioned. This will also reveal if he/she needs to make any
organisational changes to the activity the next semester.
4. Please Note: This is your opportunity to tell the lecturer if there
were any problems with the pair interactions, division of workload
etc., so be as honest as you can. Even if your group did not
function well, you have the capacity to earn the individual marks
if you made every effort to complete the assignment well.
5. Your feedback will be collated with your peer and marked according to
insights provided about what you learned from doing this experience,
honesty of responses and level of completion.

Individual Roles and
Responsibilities
What roles/activities did you
undertake in this
assignment? (eg, researcher, editor,
sequencing data, draft writer, collation of
materials)
Explain how your
contribution to the group
made a difference to the
final product?
In this assignment, I was mainly the draft writer for the team i.e.
my duty included preparation of research drafts that were created
from the research analysis. However, I also assisted my teammates
during the entire research process and development of the project
plan.
My contribution to the group made a difference to the final product
because I was the draft writer of the group and as a result, I had to
analyse the data myself before documentation and hence, I was
able to find and address manual errors and mistakes before they
are entered in the draft.
Generating and Creating
Ideas/Strategies
Did I contribute original/new
ideas? Cite examples.
Synergy – How well did I
build on the ideas of others
to produce a superior
outcome? Cite examples.
I did contribute to new and original ideas for the entire course of
learning. For instance, during the preparation of the project plan, I
suggested the use of Microsoft Project to my teammates. This
software enabled me to prepare accurate project plan and
schedule.
I used literature survey regarding project management in order to
prepare the overall project plan.
Research
Did I undertake an equal
share?
Was my information
accurate and in my own
words/not plagiarised
directly off the web?
Was my information up-to-
date?
-from credible sources eg journals, texts,
conference papers etc?
I did undertake equal share of research work along with my
teammates. I mainly emphasized on development of
communication planning for the project.
My information was accurate and was not plagiarized since I
documented my own ideas and opinions.
My information was up-to-date because I used references and other
sources from last 4 years only.
Collegiality
What did I do to support our
discussions positively?
What did I do to mediate
potential conflict?
What is your attitude to working with your
partner? Has it been OK, if not, why not? and
what have you done about it?
I allowed my team members to express their own views without
any problem and listed to them when they needed.
In order to mediate potential conflict, I tried to find an intermediate
solution by considering ideas of all the team mates.
Organisational skills:
Did I make it to all team
meetings on time?
What are my time
management skills like?
How well did I work to the
timeline?
- did you get your materials to each other on
time?
- did you make it to the meetings on time?
etc
I made all the team meetings on time.
I have high affinity for maintaining a strict time schedule.
I divided my work order in different days and created a routine. I completed
each of my duties within time.
Final Outcome/Product
Discuss how your
contribution increased the
quality of the final
assignment.
How relevant is your
assignment to real life?
My contribution saved the final project document from a lot of manual and
typing errors.
My assignment is relevant because project management is currently one of
the most popular practices in business industry.
