ESSAY 1
What excites you most about your intended field of study?
As an experienced professional, I understand the importance of being equipped with the
right set of tools and requisite knowledge to achieve success. I am adept at strategic research and
analysis and I am eager to learn about the best practices of modern leadership and effective
networking that would contribute immensely towards achieving my career goals. After the
sudden demise of my father and brother in an accident, I undertook full responsibility of our
family and took complete care of my mother who had gone into depression and ensured that she
was cured. During my college days, I knew we had limited resources and hence I stepped up,
aced all the exams, and won coveted scholarships. When faced with this crisis, I was able to take
up a leadership role and manage the situation despite having to prepare for my engineering
entrance examination.

2ENGLISH
I started my career as a Field Application Engineer in Texas Instruments India as a part
of the sales and marketing team. Impressed by my leadership, customer relationship and
organizational skills, the product line manager of TI's biggest power group offered me to join his
team in the USA as a Senior Systems Engineer of the Power Design Services.
Based in Santa Clara, I worked in collaboration of the company's marketing team in order
to conceptualize the conference entitled, ‘The Industrial and Automotive Power Summit’ in
October 2016. In addition to the skills attained in development of training programs, I personally
mentored two interns at TI. In collaboration with the online tool team, I managed to successfully
develop and release an innovative EMI tool for our power devices, the first in the industry that
resulted to more than 8 thousand clicks on the product folder of TI on the online platform. At this
point, I had mastered my art of leadership, a factor that contributed to my nomination to lead a
typology initiative that led to multi-million dollar opportunities in the segment of Industrial
power.
Due to my exemplary performance as a Senior Systems Engineer, the management of TI
offered me a new position as an Application lead of the Automotive DC/DC Buck Converter
(PRS). Under my leadership, the team was able to develop innovative initiatives for the PL's
Automotive ADAS. While working for TI, I have interacted with many teams, coworkers and
customers across the world and have conducted seminars in several countries. This interaction
with cross-cultural team has presented opportunities for creativity and innovation. I yearn for
constant improvement and therefore I would take this opportunity to grow both personally and
professionally. Thus, I would like to pursue this field of study to broaden my knowledge.
