INTRODUCTION
The organisations need sufficient manpower to get their task done. The employees are the
key assets for any organisation. The performance of the employees defines the growth of the
company in either way. People performance management refers to the getting outputs, getting the
best of employee's ability and helping the employees to accomplish their potential. The people
management technique does not encourage the practice of controlling the employees but it
promotes the practice of assisting the individuals to give their best according to their capacity.
The individual's performance always needs to be assess by the managers or supervisors of the
company on weekly or monthly basis (Ali and Anwar, 2021). The proper functioning of people
performance management acts as an helping hand for the supervisors of the company. They have
ease to keep track of the performance of the individual and to consider the employees who needs
to get proper training. People performance management helps to create a impressive working
surrounding within the premises that encourage people to perform well. In this report a case
study of Crystal Travel will be discussed. The discussion will be based on the implementation of
effective techniques and tools in order to improve the performance of the people working for the
Crystal Travels. Crystal Travels is a London-based travel company. Recently, the travel agency
working with small group of manpower but now company tends to expand its business. For the
growth of the company, the organisation's responsible persons has decided to focus on well-
being of the employees along with their performance. Further, the report will cover the Pestle
analysis of the travel agency.
Discuss tools and techniques which can help organisation to improve the
overall growth and performance?
The performance management is definitely a tool implemented by many organisations to
assess and improve the employee's performance. This technique used by the supervisors or
mentors of the company to evaluate the progress in the performance and growth (Hafeez and et.
al., 2019). In context to Crystal Travels, some other techniques and tools are mentioned that an
organisation can adopt for betterment of the company.
Performance appraisals- It is a periodic process in which the performance is
reviewed, evaluated, discussed, and documented. It is a part of career
development for an employee. The regular review strategy is used by the

company to identify that which employee is performing best and contributing
towards the growth of the company. The companies rewards the employees who
seems to contribute the most for the organisational development. In this
technique, the organisation give opportunity to the employees to prove their
potential at their best level. In reference to Crystal Travels, the performance
appraisals can be used to review the performance of the employees on monthly
basis. It may motivate the employees to work harder by rewarding them with the
extra pay for the extra efforts implies by the them.
360- degree feedback- It is a procedure of holistic employee review. This
involves the process of taking feedbacks from the managers, supervisors, mentors,
team leaders, colleagues and clients (Helmold and Samara, 2019). Then gathering
all the feedbacks with the perception of anonymous opinion which can be used to
provide an employee constructive and well- rounded reviews. The 360 degree
appraisal consist of four components including; Self-appraisal, Superior;s
appraisal, Peer appraisal, and Subordinator's appraisal. With the regards of Crystal
Travels, the tool can be used by the travel company to review the performance by
considering the opinion of every participant in the company. This technique is
also effective for growth and development of the company and training of the
employees.
Key performance indicators (KPIs)- Key performance indicators are the key
indicators which address the progress of the undergoing operations towards the
desired results. KPIs helps in creating a basis of analysis which helps in decision-
making and retain focus to the goals (Jehanzeb and Mohanty, 2018). It is a
indicator which can track quality, governance, behaviours, project performance,
effectiveness, resource utilization, etc.
Personal development plan- This is a effective designed plan. This plan is useful
in self analysis and self evaluation. The Crystal Travels can prefer this plan to
evaluate the requirements and demands that support the development of
individual personally as well as organisation. For the fulfilment of requirements
every employee can be assisted appropriately. The steps need to be imply to
achieve the growth of the organisation can be described. The personal
